  • nice video, can you tell me what camera system you are using?

  • @hpw59 for this video I used a little digital camcorder (can't remember what its called) and I strapped it to the front of my rear view mirror.

  • wat kinda car ya got?

  • @BenzRules10 At the time this video was shot, I drove a 97 honda civic hatchback

  • @flyboy3d coool......but no ABS. haha

  • @BenzRules10 yep. now I drive a 94 civic hatchback thats a stick shift :D also without abs. But I gotta say I like not having ABS because in some situations I've been in driving a car with ABS it was almost a bad thing to to have.

  • @flyboy3d i hear ya, but id still wanna have abs, cuz when i have to avoid on accident i wanna focus on avoiding it, and not having to compinsate for locked brakes. hehe

  • @flyboy3d I used to work for a car lot so I have driven loads of vehicle. On many, in the snow in particular, ABS has INCREASED the stopping distance dramatically. I know it was the abs for this one particular car, a Subaru Legacy, I removed the fuse because it was so bad. Lo and behold the car stopped much much quicker!

  • You started getting in that lane before him. If you signalled you were getting in that lane then that's definitely his fault.

  • @0001metalhead I was signalling. I think he did it out of impatience because he gets back into that lane and gest off at the same exit I did.

  • @flyboy3d Then it was his mistake. He had enough time to see you in the rear view mirror and figure out you were changing lanes.

  • what you need to do is make sure you carry a full can of coke in your car with you then drive past him and throw it at his windshield !

  • This would be 49%/51% ...49% Being Your fault! So pretty much you both would be fixing Your own Cars..

  • A very similar situation happend to me while driving 210 km/h downhill. It was a scary moment and I was quite sure I wouldn't be able to prevent a crash but luckly I was...

  • Chase him down! Chase him down!

  • @flyboy3d If you had rear ended him, you would have been at fault! >:D

  • Dude that was AWESOME! yet scary im sure. Totally has happen to me many times! btw what kind of dash cam do you have? Its soo crystal clear!

  • @harwell288 THanks for the comment. The camera I use isn't even really a dash cam. its the Kodak HD ZxD mini digital camcorder mounted on my dash.

  • it would have been your ass too. i wish more cars would have blind spot mirrors on. you can see two lanes over

  • nice use of the horn!

  • @corymcconville Yeah, I agree. It was really good that he didn't use the horn. Honking may have caused the other car to panic and slam on the brakes which would have most certainly caused a collision.

  • Wow good call! You reacted just on time, one second more and that sedan would have been a coupe! It wasnt your fault and not entirely the red cars fault either, obviously im not taking sides but your lane change was at "Fast lane" speed while the man in the red car had the clear lane to the left but both of you merged about the same time at two different speeds, I guess he didnt expect you to chnage lanes and vise versa. Point is glad you where both ok, it would have been a pretty nasty accident

  • @Johncarson9113 I had the same thought. This has only happened to me once before but that time the guy knew I was there and went for it anyway. I don't think this guy knew I was coming.
