Actually the first time you hear Hey Jude it's pretty nice, I mean, it's catchy and has a great transition in the middle but then it seriously grows uninteresting after many listens (I would know).
It's still a great song and The Beatles are still the best band of all time but it's not anything like one of the best songs.
Also if you go to an online dictionary you could perhaps find out the definition of the word "parody".
