To consist on NCE, you can:

1. When you press the consist, hit #1 for old instead of enter for advanced

2. Assign the consist number(good for the lead loco)

3.Hit add and then add the next(rear if I remember correctly) with direction then enter to the next loco.

4. Follow that until you add all the ones needed. After your done, press enter.

Should work as that is how we did it this weekend at a layout that runs NCE( who's defaut is advanced.

Cool, I actually tried it last night. Thank you. I have not tried consisting them with locos besides themselves but I assume they should also work in the consist? Also it take a lot of run time and lube to break in any of your MTH units? Thank you leejax01.

How is it running? Does it jerk at steps 1-4? If so, then maybe it may be the tight tower gears... a return to MTH is the best fix to that. Lube the axles where the instructions say and run about atleast an hour or so on rollers if you have them for regular break in.

There are fixes for the gears, but no need to do that on a new loco. You have lighting issues, the MTH uses alot of plugs and may be a plug/tab not making contact for that feature or hopefully the light bar out of place.

Yeah it jerks 1-4 the most but it does it through all speed steps but it gets better the higher the speed....I think it may be gears or a bent axle because it also wobbles back and forth a bit ....I hope it isnt that. Lol. I put it back in its box and Im going to break it in this weekend if I get a mainline loop done. If its still being a pain I will send it back to MTH or contact them. Okay I will check that for the light issue. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate this!

Nice man! Glad you got the M-2's! My dad would have a cow if I bought 2 locos like that, especially at one time. One solution to your consist problems is to program both locos to the same address.

ya i was looking at some proto 60s and 50s on ebay tht were super detailed and really nice for under 70 bucks, the detail looks soo good on them

Yeah and trust me they pull like 70 cars uphill of ballast haha. They are 10 times better then athearn sd50s/60s in my opinion.
