  • This isn't music you listen to.....it's music you FEEL!

  • 13 people added to the chains of stupidity.

  • This has been up for 2 years & has less than 1/2 a million views & I know I have played it several hundred times myself??????This is One of the MOST AMAZING LIVE RECORDINGS EVER SUCH AA FINE EXAMPLE OF THEESE GUYS CANDO!! iM LOOKIN AT MY 3RD

  • Sittin' here drinking at the end of a long day, and I played this for my buds. One said "She's hot! Turn this up!"

This is a great song / video / production. I saw Fritz & The Tantrums in Vegas two years ago, and am still lovin' the soul-indie-pop groove. Keep it up.

  • OMG I love scruffy Fitz!

  • Wow, I am a lead guitarist (The What 4 NYC) and I can't believe how damn good this is without a guitar. It's a grooving motown sound, but even better thanks to the great musicians and songs. Cooool.

  • multiracial motown revival. AWESOME!

  • I just can't look away from this band, and I don't know why. And, it's ok... it's ok...

  • Noelle Scaggs should have more to sing. I like this band's music, but you would never know how good a singer Scaggs is from just listening to them.

  • @afactor1300 gross

  • @afactor1300 5/5

  • Great band from Vancouver.... The Valuables. Check them out if you like the "ska" infusion to this song.

  • @Rusting2Dust I want to thank this guy cuz he's the reason I'm watching this... even if it's 2 months late.

  • If you think they sound great, go see them live! Just saw them in Del Mar and it was a blast!

  • Drummer+singer=gay

  • @spartantony1337 whatever dude, these cats are cooler than you can calculate!

  • @spartantony1337 Actually the drummer John Wicks, isn't gay. I've chatted with him before that and I'm pretty sure he's married... to a woman. Fitz isn't either. Most of the songs are about girls that he's had relationships with. Not gay.

  • OMG I thought the same thing. When I first heard them I thought it was Hall and Oates and could have sworn I heard the Supremes in the background. Waht a great combination of sound!!

  • Also....the Keys are considered part of the rhythm section too... :)

  • I love how retro and alternative these cats are!!! Very cool band.

  • I confess I don't know this group, but is it just my idea or the drummer (John Wicks) resembles a lot Joe Morello (Dave Brubeck's quartet)?

  • I just saw them at Kanrocksas and they were amazing! It was unbearably hot out and they still had so much energy and charisma. I love when bands ound the same live s they do on the cd. Seems so rare these days.

  • Ohhhww, I love the bass in this song :3

  • simply great!

  • my cousin is an awesome drummer :)

  • Nice hair

  • LOVE it!!!!

  • Love button.

  • Where's the bass player's Afro!?? Or is this a different guy???

  • Wow...Blue Eyed Soul is BACK! What does radio DO with actually TALENTED MUSICIANS???

  • chills

  • The drummer has a fan-tas-tic look; they must be actors fakin a rock group....

  • Each one of these musicians is incredibly talented on their own. I hate to use to hackneyed term but they are all "serious" musicians in their own right. How lucky are we that they formed this incredible band and can share their amazing talent with us. The fact that Noelle and Fitz are seriously hot helps too ;-)

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, real music has returned.

  • They have to be the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Who would've thought a soul group would bust out in 2011!?

  • this guys are good......

  • go basilica block party!@!!!!

  • Noelle is beautiful!

  • this is HELLA good...... theres still hope in the music buisness!

  • Remember the Group ABC in the 80's

  • Fitz looks like Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet

  • Im really falling in love with this band

  • I think many guys will fall in love with Noelle, she has one amazing nice voice and a beauty !

  • Noelle I think I love you <3

  • I'm lovin' this band! Kinda like the bastard offspring of Hall & Oates and Talking Heads!

  • loving it!

  • Let's see Fitz with Tower of Power!!!

  • brining soul back in 2011!! yes yes yes

  • This music blown me away!

  • Gotta sample this

  • noelle is on fire!

  • They all look like their best friends which is nice to see in any band

  • I love them too...80s fabulous Groovin and soulful

  • I seriously luv this band

  • Ladies and Gentleman, Jeremy Piven on the keyboards!

  • noelle is groovey as fuck shut up man

  • Great drummer - Noelle is lame though

  • Hi,

I just found this video because of "Daryl's House" -- a brilliant 'net show if ever there was one... And then I find this video. Just amazing... What a song!

No wonder Daryl Hall likes this! ;)

    Christian

  • What an amazing Drummer

  • I'm drunk, stoned, and happy. This song is fucking fantastic. It brings me so much joy.

  • Who's that white guy with the suit?

  • if i could play the drums that way it would be awesome!

  • Wow one of my favorite bands gettin so pop, great show

  • Now this music is seriously funky {:-D

  • For a moment, I thought this was going to be an Erasure cover. Really good though.

  • i hate how fuckin dumb ass ppl always make race such a big deal..why can't we just listen to this GOOD ASS MUSIC! STFU u dumb ass ppl.. see pass the color of skin..

  • This is what happens when the Supremes tour bus collides with Hall and Oates tour bus....a collision of SWEETNESS!!

  • @13MindsEye i agree :)

  • @13MindsEye OMG it so is. I was thinking the same thing!

  • @13MindsEye Amazing comment.

  • @TouchFasterImage - I disagree I think his gestures are a throw back to the era that their music emulates.

  • @TouchFasterImage - I disagree I think his gestures are a throw back to the era that their music emulates.

  • @tobycer I am going to have to totally disagree with you in regards to Fitz's stage prescence. The hand gestures are a bit awkward but I think overall he owns the stage. Watch some more of their live videos and your opinion may change.

  • WARSYH so yah. i love them.

  • Great Track heard it on Radio 2 yesterday can't get it out of my head now. Vocally Michael Fitzpatrick reminds me of Tim Staffell who sang with Smile, the pre Queen band of Brian May and Roger Taylor.

  • Absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert in Houston. What a band. Highly recommended.

  • This band absolutely ROCKS. I first heard them tonight, MoneyGrabber, and it was so good, I had to check out some other songs, and I'm going to buy the CD tomorrow.

  • why does michael fitzpatrik insist he doesnt use a guitar...then he uses a bass like theres no difference, lol

  • @Extimous I'm confused as to what you are saying. Guitar and bass are different instruments.haha

  • @TouchFasterImaging he doesnt just insist though, he's SICK of it because it's repetitive, bas is just as much... they are related anyway

  • @Extimous The instruments definitely have similarities but they are played totally different and for different purposes. The bass player plays off of the drummer making it is a rhythm instrument. When you refer to a rhythm section of a band you are talking about percussion and bass. Also the sound of the instruments are so far off from one another. What Fitz is sick of is "rock guitar" and how it has become standard in modern music. This is rectified in the Tantrums by subbing it out for keys.

  • @TouchFasterImaging its kinda funny, on wikipedia it says 'bass guitar' :P. but yeah, i see what ur getting at

  • @TouchFasterImaging Check out Fitz on the Darryl Hall show. Darryl's guitar was perfection in this song played at Darryl's house.

  • @TouchFasterImaging Very awesome point, but imagine a 50's guitar sound fitting in there. It would be awesome, but alas, not meant to be. haha

  • Why oh why hadn't I heard of this band before tonight? I'm checking out the Lollapalooza lineup and I see the band name and I'm intrigued, so I come here and pull this up. I am diggin' on this big time. Came of age in the 80's but love the 60's Soul. This is slightly reminiscent of Otis Redding (hear that bass & drums) and the vocals and organ remind me of...just about every British band that was out at that time. Bands like Fitz & the Tantrums, The Heavy, etc. are way overdue! Love DAT!!

  • The singer, Michael Fitzpatrick, reminds me of Micheal Keaton

  • @waltwpowell - reminds me of david bowie when he sang with Bing Crosby on that duet for Christmas.

  • @waltwpowell OMG-I can't believe you said that! lol I thought the same thing -that Fitz looks like (a taller, younger, cuter!) Michael Keaton -and I just saw them for the 1st time tonite on Last Call. At first I was like"Hey when did HE get a band?!' haha

  • The singer, Michael Fitzpatrick, reminds me of the musician David Byrne.

  • Are you offended by that? You shouldn't be. It was used as an adjective and it was a compliment. The poster lacks class but it was a compliment never the less.

Then it's not OK for a black guy to say something offensive about a "White Chick" like on VH1's Beverly Hills Fabulous (ep #107)

  • @blaze0262 For real, lets no need for this to be a race thing. The band obviously has no issues with race. Listeners should follow suit.

  • @TouchFasterImaging >>>Oh please, get over yourself.

  • i loooove this song, modern masterpiece with all the old good taste!

  • i want to play that drum part D:

  • that's my kind of singer. I hope to be half as cool. you could consider his gestures awkward but he just can't keep the music from escaping

  • Hall & Oates meet UB40 !!!

    Excellent video. Excellent song.

  • i love his awkward-ness. He looks like a kid that wasn't taught anything. And I love it. Oh and that sexy sexy Barry Sax. :D

  • i love his awkward-ness. He looks like a kid that wasn't taught anything. And I love it.

  • thanks for coming to Charleston...ya'll where fantastic...GREAT SHOW!!!

  • superb song and top video.......from pj

  • Comment removed

  • Love it! So retro and the harmony is beautiful

  • I didn't know the actor that plays Lieutenant J Dangle on Reno 911 was a singer...

  • thank you for correcting the FOOL who refered to Noelle as a black chick. She is anamazing singer google her name.

  • The girl can sing too.

  • This is the most exciting music I've heard since (now think back to the beginning) the first time I heard Amy Winehouse. It's new yet retro, totally unique. LOVE THEM.

  • This band's music makes me cry tears of joy. Never stop making music.

  • What a great sounding band, love it.

  • This group reminds me of some Style Council from back in the day. I love them! Good music with some "catchy" diddies! Keep on, keepin on!!!!

  • Classy! In this day of crap music that’s being beaten and bled into our ears, it so friggin refreshing to hear some creative soulful music that will move you. Don't get me wrong, theres some awesome bands and musicians out there today but this is just so different and welcomed. Just bought the new album which made me want to be the first one and neither were a disappointment in the least.

  • I heard this song at Starbucks, had to ask them what it was, I liked it so much!!!! Great job! <3

  • GREAT !!

  • I love this sound! It's is hip and funky!

  • ok, so he wants to drink Noelle's bathwater...sts

  • Chicks have names now?!

  • WOW, a real bass line, sax work that isn't just the same old, same old and it all rolls up into a tune that makes you feel good inside. These guys have renewed my hope for good music in this modern era. Thanks much!

  • Like Rapheal Saadiq just not as talented...still a nice sound.

  • This is brilliant! I want more. Thank you.

  • Awesome! Thanks to Music Fog for "liking" this video. And thanks to adblock plus, too.

  • @ThymeOftheMonth I got "here" (Fitz & the Tantrums) from Music Fog's "liking" also. I just installed alblock plus as well and it works great!

  • I can tell he was inspired by 1980's music.

  • @JoeAverage000 I would also contend a little 60's flavor as well ...early 60's

  • @ronnelson82 Yup, true that. Some of his songs remind me of Ah-Ha's stuff. I don't know to much about 60's but i know a few songs that i can hear what you're talking about

  • @JoeAverage000 Thanks for your reply, my daughter just turned me on to this group and I was impressed. I am 58 yo and I see many influences in there ...this guy is an amazing, talented man. Well, the whole band is. Love the sax and the bass! I have already listened to many of their songs...but alas it is NCAA days and I am busy gambling! LOL

  • @ronnelson82 lol yeah, i defiantly hear you. Some of there songs have a Ah-Ha taste. And NCAA days and gambling are always awesome lol

  • @JoeAverage000 80s? He has even said he influenced by the Motown sound of the 60s.

  • They're on Conan right now!!! :O

  • @gsboss that has to be one of the awesomest things i hav ever heard

  • i would drag my dick through a mile of broken glass just to hear her fart through a walkie talkie

  • @gsboss LMFAO! Im speechless

  • @gsboss My uncle used to say "I would crawl 8 miles across the desert and eat the corn out of her shit just to see where it came from". I used to quote in college but lately haven't used it much...thanks for reminding me

  • Great song, great performance and great bass.

  • they deserve a grammy...

  • beautiful musicians and an appreciation for the past music...fantastic!

  • What a great band. I cannot wait for their full length album to drop.

  • Just added this track...listen for Fitz & The Tantrums on PACIFIC.FM!

  • This is the classiest as fuck band I've ever seen and heard. Best band of today.

  • It's really hard to type this comment and wiggle my finger at the same time :D

  • THIS is what music is supposed to feel like!!! The sexyness of the sax mixed with Fitz and Ms Skaggs' voice and that vintage organ....I'm having an eargasm as I type!

  • just won tickets on the radio to seem them next week in brooklyn!

  • I'll be at Bunkers! TYG!

  • Just found out about these people. I'm impressed. The singer reminds me of Darryl Hall.
