I had this craft,nice flight experience,but the first one was hit by an unexpected lightning,the motor caught fire and and the wings melted,crashed and never flew for the rest of the life.While the second also ended up in disaster by having it vibrating violently on my hand with full thrust before launched and all the plane wing parts broke up.So im currently using the third one.

@MrMad4lego In my opinion, the Osprey is the best "Toy Grade" outdoor flying toy. I've flown everything from the original Air Hogs Sky Shark to the AR Drone, (Which is awesome) the Osprey if you can find it, is a really great flyer. Get the Hawk eye blue Sky only if you really want the video footage, for just flying fun, Osprey is better.

@ICEWOLF7600 It depends upon how much of a breeze you have out. It doesn't tip over at all, but it does generally require regular control inputs to keep it from hovering away one direction or the other. It's not gyro-stabilized. Not for absolute beginners, but if you have some basic experience with a beginner plane and a beginner heli then you'll be able to learn it.

not really happy with how they named this the 'Osprey' , because the V-22 Osprey is a tilt-rotor design, but this plane is a tilt-wing design , which is more similar to the Canadair CL-84 Dynavert

He gives reviews for many toys of different manufacturers and gives honest opinions to all of them, good AND bad. just skimming through the grades he posts by the names will paint the picture. I got mine stuck in a tree because i was flying it really high in the sky and then i had it do a noise dive on purpose and it all of the sudden was really windy and it flew into my neighbors tree and when i found it it took forever to get out and i got frustrated so i shot it with my airsot guns annd when i finally got it down it had holes and dents in it because of me shooting but it still worked great!!!

I'd say get the Osprey. Thing with the Hawk Eye, you can only get 5 minutes of video, it doesn't fly well, and you can't see the recordings mid-flight. I, personally, am getting the Sharpshooter. I don't want a $70 dollar toy plane/helicopter. I break 'em easily. For you, you should get the Osprey.

i don't see how it's ever going to be controllable outdoors on 'helicopter' mode. those wings give it so much surface it must be like a kite.
