Yes, there were many changes in which Jenny could have grabbed her dresses back, but she didn't because the writers didn't want her to. It's a show, and the writers are striving to make the show as dramatic as possible, so just grabbing the dresses back would make the scene have no purpose. I'm sure that in real life, Jenny would obviously have, but since it's a show, there's a reason for her not taking them back.

Actually, Jenny made two dresses with pink frills. The first one was the grey day dress, which she made for herself and the second was a big black one that Agnes wore at their fashion show. That's the one Agnes ruined in this scene

Yeah, I agree. But the directors wanted Agnes to burn the dresses, although they should have made it so Jenny couldn't even touch the dresses. Agnes should have had them in a bag and then put them in the trash and then Jenny should have realized they were her dresses that were lit on fire. Good scene and good acting here though.
