Best shoe in the world. I own 2 Sanfords, Belgium, & niles. Only thing they do not do in recraft is put in a new footbed. (The part where the shoe's name is ).

@jvarela965 IIRC, on the Ask Andy About Clothes forums they said that you can request new ones.

@jovantheun1337 Foot beds are only replaced if the shoe being Recrafted, was originally manufactured with removable foot beds. Most of our traditional dress style cannot have the foot beds replaced.

It was a great day when I bought my first pair of Allen Edmonds - 10 years ago! I still wear the same pair of Chesters, having them recrafted once, about four years ago.

For business wear, there is no other shoe for me.

Cost savings. I have many pair that are over ten years old. Once you own them, you will not the others.

I knew my dad was smart, but.... I inherited two pair of his Allen Edmond shoes. I wore them because they looked sharp. They were at least 15 years old when my shoe repair man could no longer fix them, sad day. Not for long, I realized an excellent pair of shoes that last 15-20 years is a wise investment. I then purchased 2 pair of Allen Edmond shoes. I just received my first "recrafted" pair. I will never buy another brand of shoe. The quality and service are unsurpassed!

I sent mine in last week. I love these shoes and it make me feel good that it is an American company. People complain about jobs leaving overseas but they are the first ones to whine about spending $250 on a nice pair of dress shoes that last forever. I say- spend a little more and buy American or shut the hell up about all the jobs leaving. Cannot have it both ways.

I used to work for a shoe company and unless people live in New York nobody wants to pay more than $100 for shoes. Which are crap made in India or China. They pay the price in later years with knee and back problems.

excellent shoes- I have 12 pairs. Look at that hot goop. Looks like it might make a good open faced sandwich- lol. These shoes are Made In USA. I don't buy Chinese. I ordered a recraft pack sending in my first pair for a re-craft. Excellent shoes, excellent fit out of the box. Period end of story. BUY AMERICAN

I have used allen Edmonds shoes for years... I just found about two years ago that they can be rebuilt. I have used the Recrafting service three times now and have never been disapointed. It is cool to see how involved the process actually is!

I knew they did a good job of making the shoes. I had no idea they did such a good job of re-making them.

I especially love the cork. Just watching it being put in place makes my feet feel good!
