@fairiegirlga Depends on how heavy eaters they are. I use 1/4 pound per person if they are light eaters, 1/2 pound if they are regular eaters and 3/4 pound per person if it is my family.
Great recipe - Canadian style pork with apples......I like to saute apple wedges or slices to serve alongside pork roast. I would use thyme & garlic, salt & pepper rather than the Italian seasonings but that would work also. Thanks. Looking forward to viewing the rest of your vids. All the best !
I use the Italian seasonings to make it easy for the audience my vids are for. If I am making it with time, I use fresh sage leaves and fresh thyme. MMMM. If I am going really fancy, I core apples not quite all the way through and fill them with orange juice rum and brown sugar and bake them with the roast for the last 1/2 hour in a casserole dish. MMMM too!
Yup that sounds good too. Nothing like a pork roast in the fall/winter time in Canada. Roasted carrots, root vegs, roast or mashed potatoes. Yummalicious !
Great video as always...hope you are not getting tired of hearing from me, but I am taking notes. One question for this recipe, can you taste the apple in the gravy, and if so, can you substitute the apple juice with something else?
No problem, I could talk food all day. I haven't tried anything but apple juice but if I were to try and substitute, I'd go for another sweet juice. Maybe white grape, cranberry, pineapple or a sweeter white wine.
Thanks so much! I love the computer age for getting great ideas on so many things. As for Canadians being cool, it is HOT here to day. We could use a little Canadian cool. I am a scorpio.
ure a very comedic and entertaining cook dave, i think thats awesome to entertain while cooking, i think canadians are awesome (and they're COOL!) as well. i enjoy laughing while learning great experiences from different places. keep up the great work. by the way what's ur zodiac sign?
Another great "You Can Make It" video! I look forward to these always. Do you guys make your own wine? Subscribe to my channel and have a look at my wine making vids. Great job guys! Hurry up with the next one. How about some sweet and sour meatballs over rice? Hmm, maybe I'll do a show on that one. Cya!
btw, any chance you could knock up a 10 minute video of just you dancing? Preferably dressed in a santa suit, dancing to Christmas tunes - nothing too specific you understand, lol ;)

I'm afraid there is no chance of a 10 minute video of me dancing. I'm sure it would be illegal in several countries!
