Kinda weird when you think about all the stuff in the ocean that hasn't been found yet. There's probably dinosaurs thought to be extinct still in the ocean. I have a little goal of finding all the "hidden" creatures in the world. A little scary though, because thinking of all the stuff that could be down there is creepy. Didn't some fisherman actually find a dead megamouth shark?

well its prity posseble like the mithalogial creatue the kracken it beleived to still exist and the largest recorded (on camera) squid is 60ft at each tentical and the picture was taken with a specilised camera 1000ft under the sea

On average, the current guess is 3 times bigger than a white (45 -60 ft) based on teeth comparison. And also, some are beginning to lean away from from thinking the great white and meg were related, as the white shark teeth show more closer cosmetic relation to the big toothed mako.

Which is why I disagree with people who think we will never explorer other worlds until we finished exploring ours. We know more about our solar system and galaxy then our own plants surface, including the bottom of the ocean people. We were exploring new lands back in the days before we knew what was under the ships we used to sail the oceans. We explored the moon before mapping out the ocean floor. With all our differences we still achieve more with flying then with diving.

Could be the shark and rays stem from the same family tree at one point in the genetic pool. We always say dinosaurs this and that, things like the sharks could be older then Dinosaurs. Well before Dinosaurs the sharks had to evolve from something else... who knows.

Darwins evolution theory says that animals are able to adapt to the situations they live in, a bird on an island with only fish in water, would have a long nose to catch fish with.
it could be that this shark "evoluted" (not related to pokèmon xD) to what it is now.
