the arguments towards cable is ridiculous. The ridicule this bastard gets is ridiculous. the thing people do not understand is that the character is not as easy as people say he is. If I can tell if a scrub is using him or if a pro is using him he is not that bad. They say that he is broken but every thing about the game is basically broken. the thing is that people who suck bitch about shit they wish they could do. I mean, there's not SHIT you can do against Cable (or the lazy man's best friend, as I like to call him). One mistake, one tiny freakin' mistake, no matter how small, is instant death. You can't call out assists, you can't attack his assist, anything you do against him is risky. I say this at the risk of sounding like a scrub, (even though I do have more wins than losses on ranked) but god almighty I would rather face MSP than do Cabe/Doom again.

don't fear being called a scrub. The term scrub is used by people who refuse to admit that they wasted hours of their life counting frame data and using the most broken characters only, rather than developing the actual skill to compete with characters that do not have a gross advantage over lower tier characters. Cable is a busted character with low recovery, a glitched hyper combo and too much power. He can wipe most characters with two HVB, and the rest, with three.

Okay, I don't usualy like to complain, but I need to vent.

Jesus H. Fucking Christ in all his glory, do I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate HAAAAAAATE Cable so god damn much. Fought against Cable/Doom and wow, it was the most frustrasting team I have ever fought against in my year of playing this game online. Couldn't dash forward because of Doom assist, could sj. because of jumping gunshots and viper beams.

Just bought MvC2 for PSN, and I was wondering what would be the best strategy for an

Iron Man/Dhalsim/Cable team. I'm new, but this team's been working great for me so far. Also, I don't want to use a ton of God Tiers, so is there any good Cable substitute?

For the guy with the cable question usually take the first hit so that u can block his special because once u block when u come in he can get u withthe special it's like some thing the game does

Hi, I'm a noob at this game. There's that thing where when you're character is coming in, and cable shoots and you have to block that once you block you're done. I was wondering, if it was possible to block the special afterwards if you take the first hit (the shots before special), or if you do that pushback guard thing. I want to know so I don't get owned by cabl'es online...

there are ways to escape that. its called a guard break. i find that u can just push block after the first hit and if you have a special attack that affects the way move in the air like venom splash or something (depends on the character). you'll still get hit but for a lot less damage and u might bounce out so you can block the rest. you could also just take the initial hit and hope they werent anticipating that.

Probably a crossup. A lot of characters have crossups in the corner if they dash to the wall before doing a move.

yea i don't know i was trying to test it out.. i couldn't even get it to crossup. the reason i was wonder is bc magneto has an unblockable on sent with s.hp in the same way.

Ah yeah the scimitar works. I used to do that but I tend to miss the hit or overshoot. You can cancel out of his HK instead, as the hit connects you SJ and sort of input before you really see him jump. SJC normally is done almost simultaneously as you input the d,u before it take place.

@Scoppy It's just an old school tiger knee motion, down rotated to up towards + 2 punches. In that input is you super jump command (down up) and your AHVB (qcf pp). Never too late to level up you game a little.

Do sort of a "U" motion on the joystick but go up high enough to do a super jump, then cancel into Hyper Viper.

after that kick combo it much easier doing the scrimtar or whatever its call the dragon punch with the light punch move then cancel out with the super

A player can do whichever feels more "natural" , I prefer to do the tiger knee motion though.
