I already have 3 dishes up around my place and when I get another house built next to this one I will have a dish like the one you have in the video put up. Since I live in the country I could put up one large enough to be seen from an airplane and it's no one's business. That is one the 6' dish for C & Ku bands and I will get what I can when I can afford it until I get all the parts.
@FullMentalPanic yea! they are a free energy source for solar collectors! amazing power with 8 ft diameter alone, hit 16 ft diameter its so awesome the power, if everyone had one set up then there would be no energy crisis ever!
Dishes this big and bigger were all the rage back in the early 80,s to mid 90's in 2000 I started helping tear them down. I still love how they moved.. Ecostar and Satlink I think are still in business.
Go to google and type in Satellite look angles.Satellite heading calculator will show up.Select your location (exmpl.Denver)follow the instructions. If you need anymore help you can e-mail me 55stud gmail com

It's sad that they're called "ugly" when I personally think they look badass.

can this dish work for dishnetwork ?
javy125 3 years ago 2
Yes,but you have to change the LNB.The one that as show is Linear LNB.For dishnetwork one will need a circular polarized LNB.
Although Echostar 5 is circular polarization,Echostar 7 and echostar 8 is circular polarization.Hope that is some help.

You Should Put A Wifi Adapter In The Middle=free Internet For You I Got A Small Direct Tv Dish It Works Fine lol No Lag On Youtube
juice00187 4 years ago
That only works if you diret it towards a WiFi hub, but this is a Satellite TV dish, not an Internet Theft dish
twocvbloke 4 years ago
I Did This With A Directv Dish So I Wouldn't Really Know But if It Was Possible It Would have been a very good ""Internet Theft Dish""lol

You can convert any old dish into a giant high gain wifi adapter.
