Shame. I bought this album a while back thinking it was going to be good and this turned out to be the only decent track on it. Health wrote an original version which was mixed by Ethan Kath of CC which in turn would be the base for both the bands debut singles. Basically they collaborated to make two end products, released at the same time. JUST FYI.

Two same songs, different styles. Not that it's important at all, I love CC myself, but I must appreciate the amazingness of this version as well.

I never thought of this before, but now this makes me think of surf music as made by the ocean. 50's surf music is the streamlined surfer on top of the wave - very two or even one dimensional - Health is like the chaos of the deep as well as the crashing waves. This song is very organic if you think of the ocean instead of trees. Hyperbolic space over Euclidean. Bizarre creatures and white noise...
