I'm not a YouTube Hater, but I would like to state my 7D footage looks more like blockbuster footage than this does. Can I ask what lens you used? And was this one of your first times using red? Im trying to decide between Scarlet and C300. music was eerrgghhh :(

That Tokina 11-16mm looks fantastically sharp, Phil. I have used it on my 5D (obviously at 15-16mm because of how it vignettes on a full frame sensor) and like it a lot, but can't wait to start mucking around with it on our Scarlet.

The ground on on Hollywood Bvld is pretty gritty... I think the hacked GH2 might be able to do a better job in low light :/

@dandobi That's unfortunately the web compression there. I did some experimenting with the h.264 encoding, but the compression is killing the detail.

looks like those tv's with 120 motion flow not good at all, just saw contagion on bluray looks to weird almost to clear, defiantly dosent resemble film at all! Unlike Canon C300 does!

Cool video, and I'm suprised. I figured youtube would mash the bitrate so much on something at 4k that it wouldn't look any better than an upscaled blu-ray, but this would certainly show otherwise. The footage looks great to me.

@Carrotkid I don't own that lens actually. One of the few Canon lenses I don't have, mostly because I'm a "prime lens guy". I'll do some tests soon with it. I'll likely purchase one soon.
