  • ...ah .. the portables...love the chain drives these units operates with..

  • May I ask what it went for in the bid?? Thanks!!

  • I am 35mm professional filmmaker, however, I haven't got a 35mm projector and seemingly rather bit hard to buy it straight from eBay, not mentioned about it's price tag, but of it's weight and freight problem while in Australia . . . Anyway, very nice demonstration, indeed !

  • @Silencebound . I'm putting a Devry 35mm Type E sound portable projector up for bid on Ebay later this week if you are interested.

  • @Silencebound Hi there. I am an Australian Producer and I should have Devry 35mm Type E sound portable projector available within a couple of months. Are you still looking for something like this ?

    Regards.

  • It's a shame you can't really pick these up in the UK, I'd hate to imagine what it'd cost to import one, I know how heavy they are!

  • what is the type of lamp?

  • It uses a 1000w incandescent.

  • I'm amazed how quiet the mech was BEFORE you isolated the audio. Some of the more modern machines clatter and bang like mad. This one's so quiet I wondered if it was actually 16mm before you got in closer! Great stuff.

  • gona post this video on

35mmforum . co . uk if thats ok.

  • No problem, that's OK!

  • Check Ebay, it's amazing what you will find. Some in better shape than others. We run this one at least twice a week. Paid under $600 for it, we had to pick it up due to its size, that was basically another $500 for we took our time.

  • How much do old projectors like this one run for? This was a neat demonstration, thanks for sharing.

  • The plate shown at 16-18 seconds in doesn't show a year. just the voltage etc. I'm guessin' early 50's. One webpage sets the date around 1955.

  • What year is that from?

  • Yup it made it safely from Texas to Northwest Indiana and now sits in our Kitchen. We project onto the living room wall - It's a great unit.
