i have an 01 prelude the thing is lowered on stock sh rims with recommended tires. my question is how can i get the alignment fixed? its not adjustable so what do i do the thing ate the inside of my tires (i knew it would happen). i heard of a shim kit but thats about it.
seems like its lagging. your 4th tops out i think as fast as mine, and mine is running stock with jus a minor mod to exhaust. whats going on with your set up, i like to know incase i encounter the same prob if i go boosting.
@The04ep3 they are not like the typical B series its an H. All H, they are low compression. made turbo, (i accidently erased that previous comment lol)
Sorry I don't drive auto buddy. It's not hold feature, noob, if I'm correct it's just not shifting the gear up that makes it hold not a feature fag. I called him a noob about manuals not your autos/tiptronic so how are you gonna call me a noob about something I didn't state to argue about or claim to know about? (referring to auto)
@slugshead, your one of the people that don't know shit about manual transmission and wanna act like you do and be cool right?if you knew shit, you would know autos won't allow you to be at a steady 4500rpm 2nd gear at 30-35mph or so. Automatics would "automatically" shift . Fuckin stupid noob.
so what your saying shaggy is in your opinion unless built no matter what the circumstance even 6psi and tuned the motor cant handle dding and time to time wot ?
nah i'm saying that you have to be tuned (not nessecarily built) to even handle the 6psi and run wot between the open deck block and weak ass ring lands on the h22 it'll blow the rings right off if you have even the slighest lean condition they don't stand up to boost like a b or h seriers motor that's for sure i just had mine built to i could run wot all the time and not trip
You don't know a goddamn thing about cars, let alone preludes. You read one thread on H-T and you think you are an expert. The JRSC kit is well designed and tuned and is plenty safe. Shut the fuck up.
i know many people that run sc'ed ludes, one of them have 230whp. without rebuilt internals. like i said 6-8 is what its capable of in stock internals. but yeah of course you need a tune, running untuned, one your not running full potential and 2 you'll defintely damage the sc and your internals will be toasted. then again what else did you do to your car? any ecu changes? if you just throw on a sc...of course expect it to destrony your engine.
Cool man just wanted to make sure you knew you can't just slap that JR shit on there and expect it to last :)
I run a Map ECU in place of the JR engine management...wanted to go with HKS but they quit making the system I wanted to get.
I am way happy with the built motor though i put down 256whp / 206 tq and am having a blast car could use another 100 or so hp but then again what car couldn't?
Pretty much only Honda components left on my entire car now are crankshaft and transmission.
i been reading up on the jrsc for a couple weeks now...you cannot blow your internals if you only run 6-8psi. Any higher, 1 you need to get a strong pulley, and 2, you need to build up the internals to handle high boost.
Trust me on this I am only one of the many to lose a stock H22 to that system it sounds like you've been reading the JR site. If you run wide open the stock internals will not cut it. Hondas are notorious for having weak piston ring lands which will break as soon as you have any detonation. Ditch the crappy JR fuel and engine management and have it tuned by a reputable shop or be prepared for an 8k motor rebuild to handle 8psi. Trust me listen to people who actually have a s/c'd lude.
10.1: 1 compression of a stock lude is too high to reliably run boost especially with the FRM sleeves of the H22. My car lasted less than 500 mi on stock internals on boost (untuned). At the very least you have to go with better fuel and engine management plus a tune or the motor doesn't stand a chance without being built. Won't even last a week. Now that I've got my motor sleeved, over bored from 2.2 to 2.4 and dropped to 9.0:1 compression my lude is loving life and pulling high 12's.
@shaggy2000yt I agree. Boosting on high compression isn't the issue - Lotus has been doing it since the beginning of time. The issue is running boost with no tune. Also, FRM liners are actually harder, and therefore stronger, then normal liners. They've gotten a bad rap from people trying to bore them and failing. Case is, if you don't plan on boring, leave them alone.
