reason why pheonix wins is because of the fire rate.ppheonix gets out like 1.76 shots before the viking gets 1. it seemed even at the start because of the vikings having a range of 9.

here is my reason on why i think that phoenix, corruptors and vikings are very balanced. Phoenix can move fast, and attack while moving, but vikings can go on the ground are are still great. Just not as good. and corruptors have 50 more health than the other two.

Very slow compare to vikings and corrupter. Get to masters before say anything about OP because thats the only time things are unbalanced.

The Pheonix is designed to kill light air units for mid-game air superiority against mutas or vikings and voids. Put them against BC or Corup and they dont stand a chance

It does NOT matter how long the viking attack range is (unless vikings have a range of 100. Which they don't. They only have a range of 9), because the pheonix can move NEARLY TWICE as fast as a viking. Shoot NEARLY TWICE as quick as a viking. OH AND GUESS WHAT, pheonix can move AND shoot.

@fifaplayer10 Um... dude. Do you know why phoenix micro is extremely effective against mutalisks? It's because phoenix can shoot while moving (as you said) and *also* because phoenix has a greater speed AND a greater range than the mutalisk.

The advantage of being faster (that you mention) is only present when their range is greater, because that means phoenix can kite the mutalisks forever. However, vikings have a range of 9. That means that phoenix CANNOT kite vikings.

So if a phoenix tried to kite a viking, it would be disadvantageous for the phoenix because the viking would be out of the phoenix's range while the viking would still be shooting. So the speed advantage of the phoenix is actually countered by the range advantage of the viking.
