@gameceller retard, if you look at the year, they didn't make a good emulator yet. duh. You should think before you speak. But that's kinda hard without a brain.
Hi, could you tell me if you can still play original Wii games? because when I put them in the console, the disc channel shows up as "System Update" and doesnt let me to play them. Please help.......
And the console has mandatory updates, and you have to update it. It doesn't have to do with the homebrew channel. You can stop the updates (I think) through the wii settings.
The wii updates be disc can only be bypassed with a program called Starfall (there is one called preloader too). Starfall is also used to save your Wii if you brick it, it's awsome.
Hey nice vid i installed the homebrew channel and when i open it up its blank with no applications on it how do i get some of the apps on there in your vid u said u downloaded them but how do u do that? ty
put the applications on an SD card. There should be an sd card slot on the front side of the wii. (u can buy them anywhere, 2 gig for less than 10 bucks)
There are emulators you can download, examples, GBA,GBC, SNES and sega genesis emulators that can play games on the wii. There are instruction for each one on what to name the folder on the sd card. You can find their roms(games) anywhere on the internet. The emulator will play them on the wii.
i have but nothing happens in fact wen i use a gamecube control on anygame it dnt work the only time it does work is wen play a gamecube game on the wii any other ideas plz do i have 2 install it?
did you install the homebrew channel? Did you download the NES emulator?
By the way, you don't need a modchip to run this. ؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟
to get back to the snes main screen u use left trigger right trigger x and y same for all of them even the port to the wii accessible remote just figure out the buttons :D
hey here is a tip to make the other games that u wanted work look for the official snes emulator look around online or use the homebrew browser if you check online check for the one with gamecube compatibility if you use the homebrew browser look for the snes emulator then click about to see if it says unofficial if it does keep searching till the about says an snes emulator i tried the one u were using nice with the wiimote access but the one that i use uses gamecube
You have to run the "zelda twilight hack" to install the channel. You can't download it through the wii shop channel. It's free. It's not that hard to install it. =)
Really, it's not that hard. It basically installs itself. You only need 2 things - a copy of the Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess (borrow one for a day from a friends if u don't have it) and you need an SD card. You may already have an SD card if you have a digital camera. Then u just follow instructions. I put the website on my description. =)
but i am just saying that you have a homebrew freeloader so you can play all isos from other language so why cant there be a homebrew program that tricks the wii or drive that there is a real game inside, like that you put one game in, and the program reads it and then tricks that the game is still inside,
Can I ask you something?, where do keep the rooms?, because a put them in: /apps/snes9x/roms and and wen I run the snes9x in the homebrew channel always say that there are any room. Answer please. I desperate
Hi, How do you put the application on the SD card, and which one? (boot.elf, boot.dol, icon.png, meta.xml), and how do I nae the carpet? answer please. thanks.
No, you don't have to run the twilight hack for "each" application. You only need to run it once to install the homebrew channel. You store the applications on an SD card and the homebrew channel reads and runs them. More info can be found on wiibrew. com and wiibrew. org
Yes, you need the twilight hack. But you only need to do this ONCE. So if u don't have a copy of the Zelda game, borrow one for 1 day and install the hombrew channel. Once it's installed, it's there and u won't need to go thru the twilight hack anymore.
good review, although one thing is still bugging me, can i safely go on the internet on my wii while it is installed (or uninstalled i dont care really)
Oh my God I love ScummVM. AND YOU WERE PLAYING DAY OF THE TENTACLE ONE OF MY FAVORITE POINT-AND-CLICK ADVENTURE GAMES EVER! But you use Snes9x - yawn. It's all about ZSNES. :P I also use VisualBoy Advance - uber cool, one of the best GBA emulators. I've not met any serious competitors to it as of yet.
This is very cool - if I get a Wii, it will be one of the first applications I get. :)
Maybe your games would be beter if you chainged the settings

Hey is there any sort of N64 emulator in development for the Homebrew Channel?
TrenzorZ 2 years ago
they do. it's called wii64 but last time i checked it's very glitchy. but that was months ago, they might have a stable version now.
cyreneq 2 years ago
They're still working on it, it runs at half speed with a few glitches. I'm really looking forward to it. ^_^

Oh, and I sold the wii around X-mas to a relative who was desperately looking for one for his kids as a gift hehe.
Amazing, the darn thing was still selling out like crazy. : P

Wow things have updated. I still need a good N64 emulator though, Wii64 sucks, no classic controller support, laggy, glitchy, crappy.

google "snes roms" - hundreds of websites come up.
You don't need to burn any CD, you can play them from an SD card. There's a card reader located in the front of the wii.

masterpj55 3 years ago
I wish they make a loader that play the new wii isos. I'm not a programmer, so I don't really know the level of difficulty it takes to code emulators.
Maybe in the near future, some really smart coder will make a loader for wii iso in the homebrew channel.
cyreneq 3 years ago
If you want the GBC games to work faster, yu must have a GameBoy Colour emulator, as the GBA emulator has different scripts
leon2457 3 years ago
can you also play wii games from your sd card using the twilight hack????
masterpj55 3 years ago
No...not yet. They haven't made a good wii emulator for homebrew. To play wii .iso, u need a mod chip.
