i have been a prca bronc and bareback rider for 10 years and that junk slow ass horse was def. not bucking hard he barely hopped lol but after all its a queer rodeo so maybe the guy thought the object was pole riding lol
i have to agree with a few that the horse wasnt bucking that hard, a couple of mine do that some times when they havent been worked in a while and its all about just keeping you balance and pulling their head up. But hey good job jtudela1! everyone falls off sometimes, it takes a true cowboy to get back on! but you are in his mouth just a little bit.
@fiddler9635 Sorrrrry! I was just trying to help, you don't have to be rude about it. I use to ride a horse that swished his tail all the time. Nothing was wring with his back but Iwas just trying to be helpful!!! Watch my videos. It shows. So I was just offering advice. Take it or leave it. ( and yes!!! I do know a lot about horses!!!!! I'm very competetive, and good at it!)
I love how you the rider runs the pattern on the left side :D I run my pattern on the left side and I haven't seen many people who do that lol.. That was pretty funny, although I know how bad it feels to hit the ground like that and at that at speed lol.. but good job. :)
@CherokeeCheval Most likley is a thoroughbred, but not because of his gait. Look how slender and fine his body is built. Also view the natural headplacement that occurs on occassion.

ur horse was to tight around that pole that fell. try to make bigger turns. how i no this..i have been riding for 6yrs and i lease a horse and so yea..but otherwise u did great!!
try not to pull on the mouth so much, its not good for the aiding purposes, soon that horse wont want to listen to the bit and you will want to use a noseband on it but it will only make matters worse! EASY ON THE MOUTH!!
it was a beautiful run and the horse worked nicely. i love pole bending and it was interesting to hear the commentary. good luck at your upcoming events!!!
great job brovo your horse and you did nice until the end but that still loked awesome pole benders and people who do rodeo are my idol and that includes you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes it still counted. I held on until after I passed the timer. If you fall off before the timer it's a DQ. In restrospect I should have just held on. But I just bailed when I passed the timer.
@jtudela1 my very first rodeo i fell off because ,my horse turned one way and i turned the other:/ my horse had never barrel raced and we where doing the arena race we still got 11 or 12 seconds. now we run 9 second arena race in big arenas. falls just make you better:)
Ok... Note to all. When you running a horse in gaming events and they start bucking, its most likely not because they are ill-tempered but because something with the tack or rider is hurting them. Especially if its a consistant thing. Unproperly fit saddles is a common thing and can really mess up your horse's back. Just a word of advice...
But not all the time,my horse bucked through my last competition the entire time, and it was because she was excited and didn't get to run around thr pasture that morning because we put her in a stall(BIG mistake)
Yea that is true. But misfitting tack is an issue with alot of gaming horses that is often disregarded. There's obviously a difference between hot horses, that are just excited, and horses that are actually in literal pain. But yea.
I agree with this. I've heard if a horse swishes their tail like he's doing in the video something isn't fitting right or maybe his back is out. It's not the horses fault, he's just hurting. might want to get it checked out if you haven't already. nice job though. :)
@Rodeogal2848 Sorry I dnt know how much you know, but ive been raised around horses etc. the whole story. Anyway so its very difficult to do the whole missfitting due to the tail swing because she is a speed horse especially. Many speed horses swish thier tail in anticipation. Its hard to diagnose stuff like that by such signs due to the fact that each horse is an individual. Just letting you know. And I might at WONDERFUL LEAD CHANGES!
@skyviewexpress or they get to exited. take it from my horse instructor. she was simply walking her 3 year old up a hill and he just started bucking and didn't stop bucking when she fell off.(huge bucks by the way)
Way to bounce! My gelding bucks when I run him on barrels, horns to the stomach hurt! Great run though, BEAUTIFUL LEAD CHANGES! I was amazed! Way to bounce back up, falling stinks, but it keeps you on guard and helps you become a better rider! Yes, that's what I tell myself when I'm embarrassed after I fall...:)
Ahhh, ouch!! Wow, that had to hurt, I fell off my horse the other day just like that, except for i got knocked off by a tree branch that another horse slung backward! yea, complicated. lol goodjob cowboy!
Are you saying that women can't handle broncs? Because you sound a little gay yourself! If this guy wants to pole bend then go do it! He was not asking for you to run your smart mout! :OP
any one who knows anything about riding broncs wouldn't say that horse was bucking hard. he barely hopped a couple of times. yes it was at full speed but it aint nothin commpared to a real bronc. so how does the gay rodeo work any way do the guys tie goats, bend poles, and barrel race. and the girls ride the rough stock and rope. sad excuse for a rodeo if you ask me.
@bradbaxter7 You seem like a sad excuse for a person if you ask me.... Watch how you talk about rodeo. Im sure the cowboys could kick anyones ass, and probably half of the cowgirls could do the same. We rodeo folk have balls.
If he had sat back more he probly wouldn't have come off, I'm NOT conplaning at all he did fuckin awesome! I'm just saying at the last minute he went forward (horrible habit of mine so hehe like I said not conplaining).
The horses was bucking umbelivebly there is no way any one would stay on... unless you were super glue.. that horse was gooing soo damn fast.... great job!! are you alright after that.. you ahve a nice horse there
I've been at a canter and my horse started to buck like that and I stayed on in an English saddle. He just brought his legs a little back, and I have to work on not doing that, but then again I'm kinda used to sticking on horses at break need speed :) I know first hand how hard it is to stay on a bucking horse.
I do to I am just saying...that the horse was flying and was leaping bucking....I am training a colt and have trained several horses with bucking problems. Alls I said that it was an amazing stay on
wow. that looked terrifying. but you did good to stay on as long as you did. my horse and i have been practicing pole bending, and hes getting good, so im going to the first competition soon. doubt i'll win anything though. haha.
At this point his career he was only 3 years old and was there more for the experience and atmosphere than an actual run. I knew coming to the event I wasn't going to win anything ;-)
Yes and No. We found out later that the saddle I was using was hurting him. We switched out and he hasn't done it since. As for his tail. He's just a swisher. You'd swear he is part dog the way he wags it.
i bet he can ride a hell of a lot better than you can, that horse was going super fast and those bucks were pretty big. staying on for as long as he did was quite a feat. people who go to the local pony club every week think they can ride and boy are they kidding themselves, the only people who can truly ride are people like him, who can stay on a bucking horse. sure he came off, but he held on for a lot longer than i could ever dream of doing!!
ummm just to let u no i barrel race and polebend goat ty so i think i no wat im talking about.... i run 16.4's in barrels and 20's in poles so yea get ur facts stright
oh and ive got a 5 year old on her back up horse makin runs that would leave that shit in the dust

not if your horse is fast and skilled enough to 'run 16.4's in barrels and 20's in poles'. the horse does just as much or even more work than you do.
