Hello Diana. I like your down-to-earth explanation of what the Rising sign is and how it relates to the Sun and Moons signs in a birth chart. My Rising sign is Virgo, and my Sun and Moon signs are both in Aries, Mercury in Aries and Mars in Aquarius. The Rising sign and the Moon Sign have different qualities. Moon rules the subconscious, intuitions, emotions. R.sign rules persona, physical appearance, how other's see you. Moon indicates your knee-jerk response to life so, your need to make an impact - to be dramatic, and motivational (or bossy!) may be toned down if your moon is in a quiet water or earth sign.

Go to astrodienst and input your date/place/time of birth to get a natal horoscope generated. The sign on the left hand side of the wheel is the AC or Rising sign.

Reserved and wouldn't like to take a risk without a plan B, UNLESS the moon or the sun aspects are pretty wild! But when she loves she loves like a ROCK! Very reliable and quite 'parental' 'authoritarian and unbending with a tendency to care about appearances. Has a cautious nature and takes her time in relationships. Likes to feel material, practical expression of your feelings.
