You got it wrong on commenting about signs. Its not "Do you believe in God", its shows how people interpret "signs" whether they interpret them as miracles or if they are just lucky coincidences. The main characters interpreted the signs/scenes as miracles in the end as his choice but the movie never questioned "Do you believe in God".

M.Night Shamayalan was trying to send a message about the dangers of chemtrails I believe. Pay attention to parts where they're constantly referring to the sky or looking towards it; especially in the end where the guy sees himself as the only person not dead yet, but for some reason decides to look up at the sky. Early in the movie he mentioned a word about the bees too. The movie has a message in it about unknown invisible dangers that will be classified as a part of nature.

@Jaysnipes and it sucked if you know anything about the original storyline. He absolutely kills the storyline.  I mean firebenders can't make fire........that goes completely against the anime series. Other than that, most of his films are phenomenal
