  • They dropped FAST!

  • That will teach you to wear ppe

  • It's a backdraft for sure.

  • 0:11 Ouch Ouch Ouch Hot Hot Hot

  • Whatever fire phenomenon that was, it was an attention-getter!

  • Motherfuckers! What the fuck are they doing that close to a fire anyway?

  • @kapiteinbier probably trying to save a life and put the fire out

  • somebody got a 25 killstreak....

  • FGI ;-)

  • I can't modify the title but yes, it's a backdraft not a flashover. & no audio I'm sorry the video is low quality

  • @jspompier you can modify the title if you go on edit video. but that was a good video.

  • no audio?

  • Whichever it was, those guys did a good job of getting down fast!

  • This is a backdraft and no one was killed in it either so the dickhead saying his friend's aunty's cousin's brother in law's father died in this incident is a fuckwit.

  • This is a backdraft and no one was killed in it either so the dickhead saying his friend's aunty's cousin's brother in law's father is a fuckwit.

  • my dad is gay:):)

  • cmq questo non è un flashover

  • my moms friends cousin died in this you ass holes

  • a flashover is defined as a rapid ignition of smoke when an area and contents have reached ignition temperature. though this may not be typical, it's still a flashover.

  • this is a back draft. you can see the smoke get sucked back into the building at 4 seconds.

  • This is actualy a Backdraught.

  • Uncle eddy lit his farts again.

  • why the heck did i just pressed the like button ? >_>

  • damn that would be fun if you had full ppe but for the guy in station wear... ouch!

  • im agree, thats not a flashover or a backdraft, its has an open source of oxigen, so that might be just an explotion.

  • deffiently not a flash or a backdraft. explosion is what you call that. still could be very fatal, even with ppe

  • That close to the fire without turnout gear on... wow goon tard :P

  • Look At the guy running to the left at the end of the video:

"OW OW OW! MY HANDS! MY HANDS!"

  • How about this assfaces....who gives a fuck why it happened, it did...and my question is...did everyone go home safe to their families?? end of story...continue to argue you wackers...

Saludos...

  • poor Firefighters :(

    they always risk their life

  • This is a fire gas explosion i think. They are similar to a backdraught where the fire is out but instead of the ignition source being 02 reintroduced at the ideal mix, it can be for example an ember uncovered.

It definately gives the same result!

  • Neither a flash or a backdraft...simple explosion.

  • backdraff

  • Everyone here needs to stop being a child and arguing.. YTM is right.. this is a flashover. end of story. read his reasonings as to why.

  • they appearently didnt set up enough vents. they should have cut a hole in th roof, and busted out some windows. (i might look young, but i am a firefighter)

  • @Tippmannmann999 So are they. They probably know what they're doing, especially if you're still in Academy. They probably didn't have time to open enough convection vents, seeing as there are a bunch of people standing around.

  • true, it might be the begining of the fire, a few minutes after the department got there.

  • firefighterc931 is right flashover

  • this is a flash over a backdraft is when something is opened to let air in . you open the door then it pulls in fresh air then blows out look closleythe dors are open but the heat builds up and finally ignights and follows the smoke(unburnt particles) try going to some training and study about flashovers and backdrafts it may save you life or at least know what killed you

  • defintily backdraft.

  • It is a backdraft. Backdraft is an Carbon Monoxide explosion. It occurs when a fire smolders and there is only CO left and when air is introduced to it, it blows up.

  • @ryanshadowfax12 No, it isn't. A backdraft has nothing to do with carbon monoxide. A backdraft is when the area is hot enough for fire to burn (combustion) but there isn't enough oxygen for it to actually occur. If someone opens a door, or if something collapses, oxygen rushes in and essentially explodes.

  • mightymaikmovies is right this is a backdraft...the fire didnt have tht much O2 and then they opened a door or something and i blows up flashover is just it getting really hot inside a structure and everything catches on fire

  • @LFD41dancer If they were opening a door they would have moved everyone out of the way. You can see them back away when they detect the flashover environment. When flashover occurs, the area usually lights like that; when everything in a room lights on fire at once, it tends to create a lot of flame.

  • this is a backdraft no flashover:O

  • I agree with those who says this is a backdraft! I know all the signs of them both, and this is a backdraft

  • yeah deff not flashover no dark smoke and if oyu look in the background of the video thiers heavy poofing smooke as if its trying to breath

  • thats not a flash over!! thats a backdraft!

  • I agree. Did you notice the heavy black smoke with almost no visable flames? I bet somebody opend a door or broke out a window out of sight of the camera

  • They should know thick black smoke light that curling up is a sign of flashover getting ready to occur

  • flash over AND backdraft

  • very hot

  • yea i think hiding behind that tree helped a lot.

  • thats not a flash its definately a delayed backdraft.

  • no the heavy smoke was the sign of the backdraft. a flash over can occur seconds to minutes after a backdraft but the b.d. definitly already happened.

  • backdraft...not flashover...

  • Why were they neer the building without turnout gear on?

  • yeah they should have turn out gear.. in England as soon as the door opens we put a ground jet in to prevent this!!!

  • interesting. we just keep control of the door when we open it.

  • Did anybody die in this explosion?

  • I'm sure they did.... there were guys there without any gear on at all.... someones dead I know that

  • Yeap! Backdraft!

  • Definately not a flash. Similar to a backdraft but it doesn't look like an oxy starved fire with those two open doors. My vote is for the aforementioned chemical explosion.

  • @aliciaanddavo Whatever you call it, it was still a nice fireball. :)

  • @aliciaanddavo It was a backdraught. It was on the program Worlds Most Amazing Videos...the firefighters opened the doors before they brought their lines into use and that reintroduced oxygen to it.

  • even if i had ppe on i would still POOP my pants

  • is not a backdraft or a flashover it was the explotion of a fuel tank inside the building

  • I vote backdraft. That wasn't a rolling over your lets duck thing. I !@#$%^ was coming at you with a vengence

  • That there is not a flashover. That is called a backdraft.

  • Backdraft...they took out the window and boom. Flashover is when everything in the room gets so hot is erupts in flames. That is at like 998 degrees. Sweet vid though

  • Hoch lebe die Schutzkleidung

  • The doors were already open therefore the fire was never starved of an oxygen. That was a flashover. The two clowns in front of the door without the proper PPE on probably shit their pants when that happened.

  • Ok for the stupid idot that cant spell down there, you need to go back through elementry school and after that redo fire school and pay close attention to the differences between a flashover and a backdraft.

  • nd btw smoke does egnite when it reaches a temp that is hot enough the smoke lites off believe me i've been in a flashover, not jus the simulator but an in the field flashover

  • thats not a flashover thats a backdraft son

  • Who r the two idiots standing right near the door not wearing any gear, im sure thats the last time they will do that again b4 thinking about there own safety

  • smoke is unburnt fuel for your information

  • yes... and all you people are firefighters.....

this is an example of a "backdraft".

oxygene is fed to the overheated smoke (by opening a door or smashing a window) and ignites explosively. backdraft can you expect when the fire is extinguished due to lack of oxygen but the fumes are still superheated.

flashover..... look at the video's of the NIS on youtube...

    greetings

  • ok all you that think was a backdraft that was flashover and its not when smokes ignights smoke is already burt its when it gets so hot every thing ingnights and if it was a explosian it would be bigger you can tell its flashover because smoke got thicker and that is a sigh of flashover is about to haPPAN

  • Backdraft....

  • Just throwin this out there, but for the backdraft to happen the entire building would have to be cut off from air, and that building was pretty big... flash over is just when the smoke reached a flammable point and ignites. Lol I'll be the first guy to agree with the title :P

  • smoke doesnt ignite. it could have been a backdraft in the cockloft when somebody pulled a part of the ceiling. it could have been a backdraft in a closet. both of these would cause an immediate flashover.

  • Like most of the others said that was a back draft.

  • Not a flashover. This was backdraft. Fire is made from 3 elements: air, fuel, and heat. Everything in backdraft just smolders, and smokes with no fire because there is no air. If you add air, BOOM! everything ignites again. Flash over is when the temperature in a room reaches 700 degrees. EVERYTHING except metal burns at 700 degrees, even smoke. that was backdraft.

  • its not the fire triangle anymore, its the fire tetrahedron...heat, fuel, oxygen, and a chemical chain reaction. get up to date on your fire behavior before you try and tell the world the difference bewtween backdraft and flashover lol.

  • Not a flashover there tiger, that was a backdraft or more likely some fuel source ruptured. not flashover

  • hmmmmmm..... european firefighters?

  • I saw this clip on tv a few years ago. Presentator said their were Latin american firefighters (mexican or brazilian).

Why you says they're european. Do you think we sucks? Great!

  • possibly nat. gas lighting off. Most deffinately not flashover!

  • that is a backdraft

  • Definately a backdraft....

  • mmm is a backdraft

  • cool!but i'wan't see it in my life

  • For the officers in blue shirts...

This is why you wear full PPE/PPC on a fireground at all times

  • flashover my ass, that was backdraft...

  • Yup yup.

  • That was a chemical ignited Back draft

  • a lo grande si señorrr

  • holy shit that was bad ass but I dont think that was a flash over. There must of been some unburned chemicals in the structure that just ignited.

  • full PPE within 25ft of the structure

  • Fire gas Ignition i should say lol.

  • Gas fire ignition

  • Yeah my gues is chemicals. The fire was already getting oxygen through that door. therefore there was no rush of oxygen to cause a backdraft. And definetly not a flashover because as has already been said, it blew out fast

  • i saw this on a tv show and they said that it was flammable cemicals that did that from like a meth lab and the owners set fire to the place when they were busted to distory the evidence

  • You're right. This was not a backdraft, though it looks similar it is not. And it obviously didn't flash b/c it blew itself out. Chemicals in the building combusted causing the explosion. I watched it on The World's Most Amazing Videos.

  • yup, backdraft- sudden introduction of large quantity of air

  • Agreed: backdraft!

  • backdraft

  • Yes, this is a Backdraft

  • yep, backdraft

  • i aggree too that this is a backdraft.

Bus as even the teachers at the firefighting school don't know the difference, i forgive him :)

  • i will say it as well not a flashover it's a backdraft flash over's roll on the cieling not explode

  • agreed that is a backdraft not a flashover

  • This is not a flashover. This is a backdraft.
