Half life isn't even half life to me ever since HL2 came out. I just see it as a decent sci fi FPS game. Everything that made Half Life enjoyable and so well known was demolished in the second release. Then when they made the episodes they just made a completely new story, and somehow managed to tie it in with the original game.

Gman stopped the explosion RIGHT BEFORE it got to Gordan and Alyx, Breen was killed in the explosion, and if not in the explosion in the destruction of the citadel.
