English 4 bore. Equivalent to US 4 guage. ie bore is equivalent to a ball of lead, size of which you would get 4 from an Imperial pound of lead (1/4 lb lead ball).

Recoil isn't that bad as it is black powder with a slower burn than Nitro, its more of a solid push than a snap recoil.

Its a single barrel, underlever, blackpowder proofed shotgun from the late 1800's. It was and still is used on the Essex marshes and still kills duck and geese. In this clip I managed to miss the plane and kill a standard clay off a 30' tower at 50 yards, hence the cheer.
