Scary to think about. I'm glad it worked out for you. It just shows how quickly things can go to hell, and how easily you can get confused when things take an unexpected turn. Yeah well in retrospect i should have given him the cutaway sign, a clenched fist in front of his face. If it ever happens again that's what ill be doing, but like you said, good to learn from.

the exact same thing happened to me at the start of november. one of the lads knocked out the pad at some point during our four way. but in my case none of us knew what had happened. i pitched and felt the risers disconnect. looked down no pad, what theeee f*ck as i pulled silver. some adrenaline rush though!!!

What happened? What happened with your main? And the dude who ripped off your cord, ripped it off without deploying it?

@3676chris he ripped off his cutaway cable so when it came time to deploy, the main was already disconnected.

cutaway cables only disconnect your main not deploy it. Your pilot chute that you throw or main ripcord deploys it.
