I do kind of half agree on your one-sided love idea. Ichigo always protects Orihime, but this could just be his nature, because he protects all his friends. Although in the manga, there is a lot more IchiHime.

I dunno, it seems like TK has made a bigger deal out of saving Orihime, as in the SS arc, Rukia didn't really do that much, whereas Orihime had a kind of purpose (destroying the Houyoku) for being there. And you see a lot more of Orihime in HM arc than you did Rukia in SS arc. I get how you see Orihime and Ichigo as brother and sister, because of Ichigo's want to protect her. I have the same sort of opinion on IchiRuki. I hope Ichigo ends up with someone right at the end! But at the very end!
