@awsidney Depends: as a zombie you should look for stragglers and attack them for exp.

as a survivor the fastest way is to find an axe (automatic if you choose firefighter) and chop at zombies outside.

Eventually you'll get enough points to buy better skills and really start to enjoy the game.

@piano4guy if u start has a zombie u get vigour mortis meaning stronger attacks but if u started has a zombie id get neck lurch tangling grasp and infectious bite so u can use the hand attack has a zombie for low damage and tangling grasp will trap him so u can damage him for more for a couple of attacks but instead of hitting him when u grab him u should bite him too do more damage the first will have 40% chance hit then 66% then goes too 91% and infecting bite too infect him incase he survives

I have one zed character and one survivor character.

My friend showed me this and I thought it looked alright, but as I started playing more I really am starting to enjoy it!

Just today, I went into a building with 2 other zeds and a survivor who had already been attacked down to 20hp and I finished her off, and got 40xp for it. Feels good man.

you just have to keep attacking zombies or healing people to get xp, When you get 100 you can gain a level. you go to buy skills and buy what ever you want, When you start of though its really slow and boring to level up which makes alot of people think the game is bad

It depends on whether you're a zombie or a survivor. Survivors earn xp by tagging on certain buildings when they have the tagging skill, killing zombies and other survivors, and lastly heal other survivors or reviving zombies. Zombies earn xp by tearing down barricades and killing survivors and other zombies. When you have enough xp, you can level up. Zombie skills always need 100 xp. Survivor skills xp cost depend on your class.

Next time remember to tear down the hospital barricades and get everyone inside killed on the assumption that hospital staff & hurt survivors alike are too stupid to triage in an adjacent building. Then reprimand everyone in the building and go sleep in your EHB+2 safehouse.

@tioffan4life You have to imagine that they are still moving. Maybe trying to hide, or dodge. Otherwise it will drive you crazy. I have 65% to hit with pistols and I missed 8 times in a row. How is this possible? I think the % system shows a fake number. Like the game decides when you win, and when you fail. I still love UD though. If Kevin added some new skills, and items, and more player disription text, it would be way better.

Of course, this is assuming you are playing as a survivor. If you are playing as a zombie, the only way to diversify is to attack other zombies in addition to humans and their barricades and other things.
