Callica to a serious dive after this episode. The writers diluted the chemistry completely after this this episode and it sucks that Brooke Smith is the one they chucked for it. She was Shonda's scapegoat. Where's the rewind button, i want to go back to S4. S4 Callie wouldn't cheat, S4 Callie was head over heels for Erica, S4 Callie shared sapphic salads with Erica and didnt cringe when Erica rested her head on her shoulders. The writers really fucked this up and pinned their failure on BS.

Erica seems a lot more comfortable with beginning this relationship than Callie does. Even though Erica keeps saying she is as unprepared for this as Callie, she just seems more relaxed with it and this clip clearly shows Erica has already fallen hard. I don't get that vibe from Callie, at least not yet. Hope Callie doesn't break Erica's heart.

I concur. It's Callie's reticence toward the relationship that leads me to believe the "spoiler" character will wind up with Erica Hahn. It's the few scenes like this that intimate Erica as being OK with lesbian relationships and perhaps will continue to engage in them long past Callie.

I love this scene, too. I really hope Shonda Rhimes doesn't end their relationship--though rumor says she will. Apparently they're writing in a bisexual intern who will spoil "Callica" and reveal her past with Meredith Grey. The new character is supposed to arrive November 6th.

I don't think next week will prove be an advance in any which direction--though I can never be sure. There is a scene where someone drops their pants to Mark Sloan and the legs could be Callie's. . .

Unfortunately I can't predict the future nor does Shonda seek my advice when writing the script. I sincerely hope that Callica remains and Shonda doesn't fumble an opportunity to accurately portray a lesbian relationship: this is the first public show to explore the issues at hand.
