Hi Naja, my husband is from Lebanon and I wanted to make this dish for him since he grew up with these delicious foods! He absolutely loved it and said that it tasted like home for him. He ate the whole pot in 1 hour!! Thank you and I absolutely love how you cook. Can't wait to try your other recipes, merci ktir :-))
I had these with an Arabic family when I was a little girl and loved them!! It was so excited when I saw your recipe. Clicked on "cc" for English subtitles and it states caption no available? Thanks again for taking your time to post these recipes.

Hi, Najat. I am going to make this recipe for tomorrow, and I was wondering if you could recommend a recipe with the leftover pulp from the zucchini? I'd really hate to throw it away! Thanks alot, as always I appreciate all the wonderful recipes!!!
Hi ....allow me to give you a recipe with the leftover pulp from the zucchini...
collect them and wash it good and and drain it well..then boil water and put it in...until its become tender..drain it...and in another pot brake 2 eggs and some parsley and onion finely chopped and 3 spoons of flour...salt and pepper ...mix it and add the zucchini pulp..then heat the oil in deep fry pan ..then scoop it with spoon into the oil each spoonful at a time..
I wish so much that I could understand your language. I have been looking for this recipe for so long.... looks exactly like what an old co-worker use to make for my husband.

Zucchini is a member of the Cucurbitacea family, along with cucumbers, pumpkins, squash, melons and gourds. All members of the family produce chemicals called cucurbitacins that can cause the fruits to have a bitter taste.
Soaking them in salted water will remove the bitterness if present.
If the thumb is kept lower down on the zucchini corer then you will never poke through the bottom. When you grab each zucchini just measure the tool against the zucchini and keep your thumb down to the length you measure.
where are you from please?
If you make it can you post aseeda recepie please. I had it in Libya before and can't find a recepie for it anywhere.

The grape leaves were amazing. The squash however, was so mushy. I am not sure if I over did it with the coring. Overall great recipe, thanks again!

Question: Why do you put zucchinis in water and salt?
