After watching this then comparing it to a Mario Lemieux tribute video there is no comparison. Yes Mr Gretzky is a very talented, legendary player but compared to Lemieux Gretzky is a very close second. Lemieux's skill and power will never be matched.
Gretzky was all brains. He was average sized, average speed and average reach and still outscored EVERYONE all time up to today even. Lemieux had skill, but Gretzky could dance mental circles around him. Don't diss the brains, Gretzky is all time best scorer, not Lemieux.

With a lot of great, not good, but GREAT player, in their Best Of compilations you always see the same 10 or 15, maybe even 20 goals, over and over. With Wayne it's like it just keep going and going...he was truly unfair in how amazing he was.
His playmaking ability was equally as wondrous as his goal scoring. He had hockey sense in the extreme. So glad he did not go into Pro Baseball instead or Pro Hockey would not be what it is today.
Happy 50th Wayne! PS: Wayne's goals are nice to watch. However in my opinion it was his assists and play making ability that made him so great. To watch him work behind the net in his office was amazing!!
