Considering the abundance of awesome fight scenes in Buffy, one would think you could have used less slow paced clips involving the characters just talking. It was good otherwise.
Depends on what comparison you are trying to make. If the characters actually fought I'm pretty sure the only one to survive would be Willow (unless Stephanie Meyer was writing it) *rolls eyes*. But if your trying to compare the stories its a no-brainer. Buffy actually has a plot and conflicts unlike Twi and the characters have depth. Buffy, Spike and Angel have all averted APOCALYPSES Spike fought for his bloody soul. Twilights are not faster/ stronger they have a BUDGET. 3. Garlic doesn't kill Holy water stuns unless ingested and steaks yes, but I'd like to see Twilights try.

Twi-vamps die only by the following method according to the book: rip them to pieces and burn them to ashes. Well, Buffy's strength and speed can easily rip the vamps apart and willow can magic some fire to burn them to ashes, so that buffy won't steal the entire show by doing it all herself. :-p
This video reminded me why a low budget TV from the 90's had more interesting and dramatic action sequences than the blockbuster movie 20 years later.
i'm tired about all this "buffy is better than twilight": twilight franchise is one of the highest grossing movies of the last years, while buffy on the other hand had very low ratings on its original airings(like 4 million views? while other tv series like friends at that time had like over 50 million views!) even true blood had actually higher ratings,if it was such a good tv show more people should have watched it dont you think?

They could just kill Bella and Edward would give up. Meyer make have written a bunch of nifty neato convienant (sp?) abilities for the Cullens, but Whendon created characters with wit and cunning. The Cullens have stopped a few obsessed d-bags from coming after the useless piece of crap Bella, but Buffy, Angel and their friends have stopped several Apocalypses. I gotta give it to the Scooby Gang. Three dimensional characters will always prevail over two dimensional ones.
@TheVoidDragon : Seriously, Willow deserved her own show 100x more than Angel. They took all the rejects from the Buffy series and put them with Angel (excluding Spike b/c he was sent there to save the show's ratings). After Buffy ended, it should have been "WILLOW", staring Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon, Seth Green, James Marsters, and undoubtedly they should have revived Amber Benson's character Tara, and twisted it making her some Hell Witch Nemesis for Willow.
Now what would be interesting is the Cullens going against some of the Buffy Big Bads. I'm thinking Glory--they are so toast. I might see Eclipse for laughs--its playing at a beer and pizza theatre for cheap. OTOH a friend of mine warns me I might fall asleep...
It's too much like comparing apples to kiwi fruit--Twilight isn't in the same narative league as Buffy but its a higher powered milieu. "Twilight" has the "Charmed" problem--actors too pretty and not enough character(including the girls). Except "Charmed" had ok to decent writing in places, tho I could never get into it....
But.. for arguments sake.. you have to give the characters of twilight the edge in the fights, since they are almost invincible, and none of the scoobies have the required strength or speed to fight them.
Buffy will always be the best though :) Angel too.

Yeh, the Judge was pretty cool, I reckon Emmett Cullen could pull his arms off easily haha. Super Speed and Super Strength, also, The Judge's main power was to burn the humanity out of you, vis-a-vis the soul. Since it's unknown whether the Cullens' have souls' or if the Twilight world even accepts souls as the norm, that power would probably be redundant.

And, no, the Scoobies wouldn't lose, there's no way in hell the Cullens are withstanding and Anti-structure tandem warhead from an AT-4 fired into their living room on top of both a slayer with the strength of ten men and Willow... sheesh, Buffy alone, Willow alone, or Xander alone with an AT-4/explosive could probably take out most of them.

@DamnGirl221 So the Cullens can withstand being immobilized, blown up, spontaneous combustion, mortars (Willows fireballs behave strangely like heat-seeking mortars), power drained, etc. Willow alone boasts more firepower than a tank and the Scoobies together have defeated a god, the Cullens would be stopped at "Thicken" or my personal favortie "Bored now"
@Churchy2188 Because unlike in Twilight, the heroes and villains Buffy occasionally use military grade modern weapons to take out enemies (Among them, AR-15s, M203s, AT-4s, tazers, sniper rifles, etc). What better way to take out near indestructable vamps then with an AT-4 AST, oh, and unlike the average human, Buffy can fire it standing up, without even flinching, her first time.

(The Scoobies only know because Xander has soldier memories). The AT-4 alone has three separate safeties that must be disabled before it can even be fired... and that's after you obtain it. As for Buffy, she has taken on a hellgod... and won (I think they used explosives to help there too... ah, Joss Whedon and his explosives).

Not once do I ever remember Buffy slaying a vampire without using a stake or some other form of weapon. Buffy can weaken vampires by fighting them, but she can't kill them with just her strength.

Twi-vamps die only by the following method according to the book: rip them to pieces and burn them to ashes. Well, Buffy's strength and speed can easily rip the vamps apart and willow can magic some fire to burn them to ashes, so that buffy won't steal the entire show by doing it all herself. :-p

i'm tired about all this "buffy is better than twilight": twilight franchise is one of the highest grossing movies of the last years, while buffy on the other hand had very low ratings on its original airings(like 4 million views? while other tv series like friends at that time had like over 50 million views!) even true blood had actually higher ratings,if it was such a good tv show more people should have watched it dont you think?

Err...okay anyone who has seen more than one season of Buffy would know that any character in Buffy with powers could kick the Cullen's asses. Willow starts out as a helpless nerd, but by the end of the series she could disintegrate all of the Cullens just by looking at them. The vid is pretty well done, though.

The Cullens have stopped a few obsessed d-bags from coming after the useless piece of crap Bella, but Buffy, Angel and their friends have stopped several Apocalypses. They took all the rejects from the Buffy series and put them with Angel (excluding Spike b/c he was sent there to save the show's ratings). After Buffy ended, it should have been "WILLOW", staring Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon, Seth Green, James Marsters, and undoubtedly they should have revived Amber Benson's character Tara, and twisted it making her some Hell Witch Nemesis for Willow.

It's too much like comparing apples to kiwi fruit--Twilight isn't in the same narative league as Buffy but its a higher powered milieu. "Twilight" has the "Charmed" problem--actors too pretty and not enough character(including the girls). Except "Charmed" had ok to decent writing in places, tho I could never get into it....

But.. for arguments sake.. you have to give the characters of twilight the edge in the fights, since they are almost invincible, and none of the scoobies have the required strength or speed to fight them.
Buffy will always be the best though :) Angel too.

Yeh, the Judge was pretty cool, I reckon Emmett Cullen could pull his arms off easily haha. Super Speed and Super Strength, also, The Judge's main power was to burn the humanity out of you, vis-a-vis the soul. Since it's unknown whether the Cullens' have souls' or if the Twilight world even accepts souls as the norm, that power would probably be redundant.

@Churchy2188 Because unlike in Twilight, the heroes and villains Buffy occasionally use military grade modern weapons to take out enemies (Among them, AR-15s, M203s, AT-4s, tazers, sniper rifles, etc). What better way to take out near indestructable vamps then with an AT-4 AST, oh, and unlike the average human, Buffy can fire it standing up, without even flinching, her first time.

(The Scoobies only know because Xander has soldier memories). The AT-4 alone has three separate safeties that must be disabled before it can even be fired... and that's after you obtain it. As for Buffy, she has taken on a hellgod... and won (I think they used explosives to help there too... ah, Joss Whedon and his explosives).

@Churchy2188 To the first question no, to hand to hand combat, Buffy's strength is hardly feeble (let's see you try to bend a rifle with your bare hands), and she has the reflexes to catch knives and swords with her bare hands, but admittedly, the Cullens annoying near-invincibility will eventually cause her or Xander to resort to high-yield explosives... or Willow, I think Willow could take all of them, given she can fly, throw heat-seeking mortar-fireballs, and use "thicken" among others.

Not once do I ever remember Buffy slaying a vampire without using a stake or some other form of weapon. Buffy can weaken vampires by fighting them, but she can't kill them with just her strength.

2:50 EXTREME JUMP TIMEAGE! twilights unbeleivably not the best book slash movie to be made. LOTR takes higher place any day of the century. buffy kills the shit out of edward. o, and i serously would like nobody to rave about twilight anymoar, but you will. GUTEN TAG
