Hey there... thanks a bunch! It looks like its crazy, but surprisingly it is pretty common. It is tuned so that when strummed without holding down any frets it is an open C chord. Open C Tuning! It is definitely a pain to tune to, though. Check out "Ocean" by John Butler.. it is tuned to this as well.

haha thanks! it was definitely a cool guitar, but it just wasn't right for my style. I sold it back in December. I got my first electric 4 years ago, and played for a little. I received my first acoustic 3 years ago, but did get serious with it til about 2 years ago. So I guess I've been playing seriously for 2 years!

I don't really think anymore it is about how many years you play.. there are very devoted guitarists that play for a year or two and are realllly good. There are also people who have played for 20 years and are just average. If you look up "Sunga Jung" on Youtube you'll see the perfect example. The kid has played maybe a year or so longer than me and is a beast. That's sweet that you go to Cosby.. I had no idea. whats your name? Frau is my sister.

How long did it take you to figure out his tab cause some it is confusing like slapping the string and hitting the bridge while strumming and just all the hammers and pull offs. Also, when you hit the low e string like the 0s and 5s, does the string vibrate excessively for you? Like for it vibrates/buzzes and makes it so you cant hear the actual note.

When I have trouble with tabs I put the video on full screen and really focus on the segment I am working on and watch the guitarist's every move. Most fingerstyle guitarists are willing to give help and you can email them and ask specific questions. I have multiple times with Chuck (the guy who did Love Story.) When you tune the E string all the way down to C it is not it's natural note.. it's gonna be very loose so it will buzz. The key is to not slam on the string; play it softly so it wont

buzz as much. The higher end guitars are built better and that probably won't cause as much of a problem. Also, if you buy higher gauge strings it should help a little more.

The g string doesn't change tuning at all. The standard tuner also doesn't pick up tunings to weird intervals.. my old tuner literally only picked up what the string was supposed to be - I don't even think it picked up drop d. I use a cool tuner now called the intellitouch tuner. check it out - it'll tune to any note for you. otherwise you have to just tune to the other stings. Put your finger on the 5th fret of the g(3rd) string, and match the b(2nd) string to that sound to tune it up to a C.

Thanks a bunch man! I actually really like it. I bought it along with a new Behringer ACX1800 amp and was thinking I would just sell the guitar cause all I wanted was the amp. Turns out i LOVE the guitar - its really cool and different. I decided to keep it and the pickup picks up string and bridge percussion really well. I love that about it.
