  • Regarding the "Firesale attack" I believe the term pertains more to a desired outcome (total chaos and destruction) than a specific method of attack. I'm not a national security expert but such an eventuality would likely require various weapons, not all of which would necessarily even be cyber-weapons. DDOS has been used in several well publicized cyber-warfare attacks over the past few years so it might be a part of the "rogue's arsenal" See my video "Cyber Militias in Action" for more

  • Hey Melih ! I totally agree on the fact that Distributed (I think u forgot to mention this word) DOS attacks are getting easier to perform with BOtnets getting cheaper. What I was more interested in checking in this video was about the Firesale attack. You might describe this as a curiosity generated from Die Hard 4 fan, but I think that it is a type of DDOS attack. Can you clarify this for me?
