im new to black powder revolvers and just picked this gun up but after a few hours i think mines fucked up the cylinder just free spins it no longer clicks in when u rotate the cylinder and when i go to cock it it wont cock it just moves back into half cock any 1 know how to fix this
@peepsnet I had spoken to a gunsmith that is a expert in blackpowder pistols / muzzleloading and he said; 25-30 grains are ok for 1860 pietta colt. The manuals recommend 12-15 grains to play it safe. As for the 35 grains load, my brother wanted more smoke and a bigger bang when firing the pistol.

@taco1030 I know there different sizes, not sure which is bigger or smaller. I was told to buy No.11 by the gunsmith.

did you really load 35 grains. the manual calls for 12-15 grains.
