This could be a sort of "nest" which protects youngsters from exposure to the elements as well as intruders. Perhaps this was a youngster or "adolescent" that has not yet developed the characteristic Saggital Crest yet. The Lab/Chow mix that I own has a pronounced saggital crest which he did NOT have as a young puppy, etc.

I was immediately thinking of a gorilla in the jungle...peering around a bush to watch a human and pulling back as soon as it notices the human looking straight at it. I don't think it was a bear, because a bear would not pull back as quick -- and there would have been more of the body shown. This, I believe, is an excellent catch of Sasquatch!

When the camera pans right and object comes into view at 1:29 freeze. Whatever it is, if it's facing the cam, has a black nose and small, rounded ears, like a bear. I read a few comments saying there are no brown bears in that area. Yet this looks closer to a brownie than a squatch after scrutinizing the video. Opinion.

i downloaded this video and zoomed in and sharpened it up and i can't explain it, it has a brow ridge and a cone head, i think this is a bf, plus i watched the videos that timbergiant did in that area and there was activity of a primate living there, those bushed are 7-8ft tall in the summer when they have flowers on them, good work jim, the critics make snap judgement, before they make a judgement they should analyze it like i did, and some other guys did.

It wasn't a bear. Why do I say that? This is southwestern ontario. There's absolutely no "brown" bears in these parts. You have to go up near the Manitoba border for those. Bears are not frequent in these parts but they still do wander this far south. If it was a bear, it would be black.

To me it looks like the head of a bear. It's on its hind legs and facing the other direction and slightly to the right. the slightly darker part of the fur that you see on the right side looks like its nose (or ear?). He then turns more to the left and drops back down to all fours, which is the slight hop you see right before he's totally obscured by the bushes. Then he starts eating berries off the bushes or something, which is why the branches are moving.

@sgtbruce11 We had heard sounds comming from the surrounding corn field and then this , as well my son had moved away out into a been field and I was not sure what was going to happen . So I left the area to make sure all was ok with my son . And I was a bit spooked as well . Don't forget this was early in the summer I was not as prepared for this happening so close . When you see something much taller than you , close to you it does scare you . So I left the area .

IMO one is carrying another in the classic fireman's carry. That is why the movement is so odd. Then at the top of the brush it is dragging the incapacitated one into the brush. May sound crazy, but when it first rises up there is a face on the top end and a head hanging down at the back. Of course it could be a wild hog, or other animal. Definite follow-up needs to happen for size comparison, foot prints, drag marks etc. If we know how big it really is that would help, who knows at this point.

positive. It appears to be staged to me? Do you think someone was playing with you? I know you say you are a long way from home, but could someone have known you would be in this area? The "so called head" looks like a "stuffed toy"? I don't know what to think?.It appears like a "puppet movement"? It is unfortunate that you had not gone back to the area again while the leaves were still on the bushes. Maybe film someone in that area to recreate it. I think it would help if we had some reference points like how tall the bushes were, and how far behind the bushes the subject was, since we can see that it slopes up behind the bushes. It could even be a wolverine a ways up the slope back there, it's hard to tell.

No the whole thing was unusual , seeing this and the bush rattling . I thought that just maybe it was a bear because it looked like it had an ear like a bear , at any rate I didn't stick around . I know in looking back that I could have done things differentley , our saftey came first though .

how tall was the bushes ? has there been any sightings by locals here ? what type of bear do you have ? in these parts. altho...it looked bi-pedal. you know there is no need to fear them. they avoid us like the plague....but I know when i saw one as a child i was frightened as it was a complete unknown to me.
