@duramaxin81 Good point but this is a matter of not airing down the tires . I pulled a 16500 pound toyhauler thru here all the time. But my tires are at 15-17 psi even the trailer tires they are like plow discs. After I disconnect I spend a good chunk of my time pulling Fords out of the sand. I have seen Corvettes on low profile tires get around just fine out there. The trick is Air pressure.

diesel is way more reliable in offroad elements and you get better gas milage plus it lasts alot longer not all diesel engines are as heavy as a duramax, cummins, or powerstroke.

it doesnt matter if you drive a ford, chevy, dodge, yota, or whatever floats your boat. Pull a trailer out in the sand WITHOUT airing down the tires on both the trailer and the tow vehicle and most likely you will be getting stuck. Up here in the NW we take motorhomes and 40' fifth wheels out in the sand to camp all the time! Tire air pressure is the key... not the vehicle.

First of all the engine has nothing to do with traction.Secondly Chevy trucks arent made for sand they can get through any mud pit though.And third the durmax with the allison is the strongest engine and tranny combo on a stock truck out there.
