  • @alisonrenan

The reason Jimi Hendrix was the best is because he started rock guitar solos. When he played guitar solos, he had no one to look up to to play like that. That's why he is so good. However, nowadays you can get to the skill level of Jimi Hendrix much faster, with YouTube, and all those instructional DVD's.

  • We don't need that common sense anymore, saying that Hendrix was the best. He obviously wasnt, Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore, David Gilmour, Michael Schenker... All better than him, so, this version is WAY better than the original, fact.

  • @alisonrenan You are just SO wrong.... You forget in the day JIMI was the original innovator. EVERYONE else just followed in his footsteps...Come-on!!!!! How old R U anyway???????

  • Soloの途中途中で開放弦鳴らすのは他の人もやるのでしょうか?彼のソロで良く見るのですが、独特の荒々しさが出てかっこ良い

  • fuck yeah pino palladino on bass

  • Gary had just come out of hospital prior to this concert, his hand was swollen and not working. So all wannabe-critics....shush and go home to mama. This is amazing.

  • Gary was an astounding player, I get a real laugh out of the big mouths that diss him, let's hear your stuff, fools. Gary was the real thing, few and far between they are.

  • gary got blues is a fucking white irish nigga

  • @SCOPOtuaMADRE Then you need to get off this site. If you don't like him, why are you here? Another a**hole bully in the schoolyard.

  • I think I was thinking more of the song it's pathos is it's beauty the song when reduced to an excercise in guitar virtuosity. Kills the spirit of the song

  • superbe

  • This is crap because he makes the same mistake they all do he over plays the guitar Hendrix was tuned into a sense of space the only guitarist who had this was peter green

  • @Bmc7231 hes not trying to play like Hendrix he's doing a tribute to him

  • i'm not the biggest fan of Jimi But I Love Gary Moore his style technique etc are amazing him and Kirk Hammett are Two Of My Favriote Guitarists and if ur gonna bash Kirk Hammett bc he over uses his wah Fuck Off I guarentee if u tried to do wat kirk Does with the Wah u would cry because of ur failure neway Gary Moore and Kirk Hammett forever !!!

  • Funny how some people can judge a guitarist's style form this track alone :) This is Gary doing a great version of a JH classic. Nobody can do JH exactly like JH, but, nobody can do GM like GM. Just enjoy it. JH & GM are probably 2 of the greatest guitarists that have ever lived, in my opinion.

  • what an evil in his body

  • Strat Pack ?

  • He is a very good guitar player . However , his style is just another knock off of a copy cat flashy Jimi H . & Stevie R. He has no unique style . Same old flash . Now . Joe Bonamassa is unique . Pure Class . Smooth, Tasty , Clean the right tone & tempo . That's my opinion

  • @raycali1 fuck off if you think gary moore had no style, you know nothing

  • @raycali1 The subtle nuances that define style among electric-blues players, in my opinion, is really what sets them apart from one another. But then you need an ear to pick that up.

  • @raycali1 Joe Bonamassa GREW UP LISTENING TO GARY AND SAID GARY OPENED THE FLOODGATES FOR HIM AND IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE GENIUS OF MOORE THEIR WOULD BE NO JOE. ENOUGH SAID

  • @gibson492 this is heavy man I cant get the local guys to play a decent 12 bar blues with out making mistakes around my solo

  • @raycali1 First off Gary was around long before SRV(but Stevie was great as well) and Gary is no way like Jimi. Two completely different styles, both talented in their own right. As are, Clapton,SRV,Jimi,Gary, etc Personally I prefer Jonny Lang over Bonamassa.I dont feel Joe feels the music like the rest. And blues is about the soul, and you cant feel the blues unless you experienced hardship and heartache.Joe lived a cushy life were the rest lived the blues.Do your research before you post crap!

  • @Claptonblues55 WELL SAID MATE GARY MOORE LEGEND! RIP!!!

  • @Claptonblues55 where in the world u get this cliche that u have to endure hardship in order to play the blues....talent strikes anybody regardless of color size or gender..as far as I recall Jhonny Lang begun playing when he was only 16 and he was already good at it...so where this so call heartache he experienced.??..

  • @alpacino92780 Jonny Lang ( Jon Gordon Langseth, Jr, Jan 29, 1981)Jonny Lang started playing guitar at the age12, at 14, Lang was signed to A&M Records in Jan 1996. He released the critically acclaimed multi-platinum Lie to Me on Jan 28, 1997, the day before his 16thBday. There were alot of problems at home growing up and he is still fighting his demons with alcohol. Read Bios, they all have their demons. Growing up around the Blues, I have seen plenty.

  • @Claptonblues55 my point was that going thru hardships is not a requirement in order to play blues. I've been playing for close to 20 years and i find it that i play even better when I'm the happiest(but hey that's just me) Mr. Lang had a great voice that would've have developed regardless of whether he was having problems at home or not. And, frankly I never heard from him again after his only hit (I think, you can correct me if I'm wrong) "lie to me". Salutations from a humble brother in blues

  • @alpacino92780 I agree, it is not a requirement, but 99% have faced hardship or a traumatic event, and they have all said it. Lang has a total of 8 CD's, Lie to me, being the biggest. He still tours, mostly small venues. The problem in the States is the DJ's cater to top billboards or 3chord rocknroll.People like Lang,Moore, even Bonamassa etc. dont get the air time they deserve.Europe,Scandanavia are more into the blues then the Americans.US DJs rape us of great blues artists.

  • @Claptonblues55 so true..blues its always been sort of underground...but i think that makes it even more exclusive.

  • @alpacino92780 Well I do agree, when I'm blue and listen to the blues,I feel much better. I believe Joe Bonamassa and Desiree' Bassett, etc,are very talented, but they don't give that gut wrenching feel. I want to see it, I want to feel it, they dont do that for me. Just my opinion.

  • @Claptonblues55 i agree..Joe Bonamassa doesn't do anything for me either. I have no idea how he got to play the royal albert hall...i saw the concert on TV and apart from Eric Clapton appearance the show was boring and the crown unmoved by his playing..except of course the 2 front rows (probably family and friends)

  • @alpacino92780 ..sorry bout' misspelled : crowd..NOT crown..lol

  • @alpacino92780 yep seen that concert and I agree. Check out Jack Moores Channel, Gary's son. Type in TheRealJackMoore in the youtube search box and check out the videos that come up. There are a few Jack Moores so you have to be sure its the one above. He is young and not his Daddy, but he is very good and I believe he will go places. A new generation. Hope you enjoy!!!! Peace!

  • @raycali1 Well honey, you know what they say about opinions!!!!!!!!! And yours is very close to a**hole mode.

  • That guy can play smooth! Love it!

  • gary=power and speed.

  • I like the raw power that Gary always delivered!
