i did that trip, halifax to toronto....and back. ohhhhh my god 32 hrs each way. spent most of the time sitting on the tracks not going anywhere. just sitting there for hours at a time. not moving....why? i dont know but it was frustrating because i just wanted to go. i didn't have a room or eve a bunk becaue they cost too much,a dn this kid from india kept pissing on the bathroom floor, missing the toilet completely...i dunno how he managed it...

@Lifty4ever OK there dumbass. You're obviously not competent enough to understand that I'm saying we should have Canadians doing this. If you were English and saw to Canadians doing a this in England, I'm confident to say you'd feel the same.
@WhiteSugarFive i am but i dont care who does any thing as long as its not americans. id ove it if british ppl did every thing canadian instead of canadians
@WhiteSugarFive Can we just say that we were approached to produce this and our other fims for VIA on behalf of their British & European sales & training teams so that they could see what they were promoting. VIA do a lot of Canadian promotion but our films have gone a lot further a field than originally intended. Another is in the pipeline! We must say every trip has been incredible, Canada and the Canadian people are sublime to be around so please don't feel too annoyed we're making them!
@GottaGoPromo Listen, this argument I was having was immature and I hope that you don't take offense to it, as it means no offense to British people in any way. The only point I was trying to address is that I would of preferred to see Canadians do it, only because it's in Canada. Have a wonderful day! - Robert
that train got scrapped due to a freak accident. Sadly to see it go!! Now being scrapped at VIA Montreal Maintenance Center following her severe wreck on the "Ocean" in 2009, CADRAIL's Prototype for the F40-2PHd #6400 looks gorgeous as she sits at the Palais Station in Québec City. April 22, 2007, two years before it would be over. Note she was unique as the only rebuild with a rear walkway
@mrgar588 We did it over a period of two weeks which allowed us to have a few days in each major city. We started in Halifax on the Ocean, went to Montreal and onto Toronto for a few days then after jumping on the Canadian spent a few days in Jasper (which is one of my favourite places in the world) and then finished with a week in Vancouver - One incredible journey complete! X
@GottaGoPromo u awesome rockin dudes should complete the set with the montreal the gaspe chaleur overnight service. and remember all services r non smoking so save it for the great outdoors
@megs905 I think it was too damaged to be rebuilt, though what really sad is that The Ocean no longer goes through Levis. CN trashed the line, but it deprived Via access to the ferry terminal & a great view of Quebec City.
@megs905 It's been a while since I've been to Niagara Falls(I'm a Montrealer), though even in that area the CASO pretty much got trashed, even now CP might trash their line through the Ottawa Valley. If they do that, we can pretty much kiss reviving The Canadian good bye. =(
I see you enjoyed your trip to canada. someones jelous over here, whilst your travelling away i'm slaving away at hospital cleaning poo and taking urine samples!
@kimmy3900 heyheyhey it was all work, hard hard work! none the less it doesn't distract from the fact that it wasn't quite as intense on the excretion front.. Nowhere near in fact. Though what you do is 100x more admirable :) X
