@Pokemaniac88 Same here. My favourite game bounces between HG and Platinum, but mostly it's HG. Gold was my first game and they made it even more perfect than it was. Remakes need to follow the originals but there can/must be new features and HG/SS is a prime example of a great remake and what the remakes should be.

I think everyone is going to be biased about their favorite Pokemon game. Because generally your favorite is the first one you play. Since I first played the Hoenn games, they're my favorite, but I'm not offended when other people list Hoenn at the bottom of their list. Honestly, I haven't played the games in a few years!

@SkyFallXIII My first game was Gold but my favourite game is Platinum. Weirdly I like Heartgold more than Gold... It's not always general but in most cases it's your first game that's your favourite.

I'm not offended either when people say that they hate my favorite gen. I feel sorry for them since they can't see the perfectness of all the gens.

@MyDearRabbit: Still Hoenn is not as bad, maybe it's because when got Sapphire (Gold was my first game), I wasn't playing seriously (My only Pokemon were always Blaziken and Lombre) maybe because I was nine ;P and I haven't played the games recently. Hopefully the remakes make me like Hoenn more since it has so much potential in it and it had a good theme, like all Pokemon games.

R/S/E were just... the best games ever. It felt like a story, and it actually felt like you did something good. And the whole environment theme was just so lovely. Meanwhile, I went through D/P/P without feeling a thing. No emotions at all. The plot was just bland. :/

Weirdly, I had the complete opposite situation: For me, Hoenn was bland, no emotions, no memories, nothing. Just trying hard to be something it wasn't. Too much in one game.

Sinnoh, on the other hand, is a magnificent region with best Pokemon in existence, mythology/history, best music and original story. Most important, you actually saved the world from destruction. To me, Sinnoh is what Pokemon games should be.

@Poxeish Hm. That's interesting! I do have some extra factors that play in with my choices, so that might be why I'm more attached to one than the other. Ruby was my first Pokemon game, and I've played it through three times now. Not soon after, I got Emerald. I really enjoyed Diamond's graphics, but I didn't play it continuously, so I got lost in the story. I also love learning about nature, so that also played a role.

From a completely neutral standpoint, Sinnoh may be better. c:

B&W is definitely the best, with DPP and GSC in second. The only thing I didn't like about B&W's ending credits was that there were no little animations. No sprites were running around and no scenes of the antagonists. Just credits scrolling while the screen moves around Zekrom/Reshiram. Epic music though. :0
