the fact that rory and jess did not end up together is tv's most tragic mistakes. they let down so many fans by not having these two end the show as a couple. when i used to watch the show, i genuinely thought he would come back a changed person, they would get married and everything. it is literally like if ross and rachel hadn't got together at the end......i still get so mad when i remember of how they denied us all of literati happy ending and how we all have to "pretend" they are together!

i heard that too and I heard Lauren was open about it too, even she was disappointed with the ending. However, I'm pretty sure that was around when the show ended. It's been over two years, I don't think that applies anymore. They've obviously moved on... if ASP had written a script before, maybe, but I don't think anythings gonna happen now :'(

And yeah, no way is any characters gonna be replaced. That would just suck.
