  • Yeah the bear needs to learn his lesion to stay away from humans even know were building our houses in their habitat

  • thats my dog not exact dog on the video but he is a puppy

  • thats my dog

  • Wild dogs and cats chose to become allies with humans, became domesticated and got their reward to live with us, along with few other species. The rest have their territory still left, and it's fine as long as they won't do us too much harm and we won't do too much harm for them.

Natural laws still exist in the times of technology, even though they're not written as official books such as ours.

  • hahahahahahaha

  • humans should get the hell out of bear country. It should be bears using dogs to chase those human pests away.

  • i'd dear u to do that to a big male grizzly and ur dog would be a snack

  • @TheTherealnigga speak English please nigga

  • @RealspitHiphop604 you try speaking english

  • @TheTherealnigga You dear me? lol ... i can tell you don't know what your talking about. My hounds eat bears for snacks ;) big ones little ones males females doesn't matter.

  • Excellent way to deter bears without killing them, which should be the last option. Rooster is a stupid name for a Karelian... a more rare, intelligent, loyal, Finnish breed.

  • @tolynette it should be the last option to euthanize humans. Better to sterilize all of them.

  • The dog is a Karelian. Excellent bear dog.

  • I'm a little confused as to WHY the bear runs away from the dog. wouldn't the bigger animal just stand his ground and resume what ever he was doing?

  • @Alphabex8 are u dum look up koralian bear dogs they are bread for this i live with thes dogs my hole life i no how brutil and luving thes dogs are but u the normal person doesnt understand this breed will kill and die for its owner my dogs have olmost killed a black bear they dont bute the but like some people think they jump on its back and bit it in it neck check them out online ul understand

  • @Alphabex8 Karelian's are fast, fierce, determined and unafraid. Bear are unaccustomed to this. Bears are slower and black bears don't have good eye sight. Bears would generally rather not deal with this, unless they have cubs and then all bets are off.

  • @tolynette interesting. i did not know this. they seem like a cool breed of dogs.

  • He just wanted to go swimming

  • wtf...

  • A dog will protect to anything that might harm his owner

  • Hey motorbreath I am ignorant when it come to wild animals? I know animals much more than the average person. If an animal learns that humans mean food then it will go to the easy meal. Especially if there is no food around because there are too many houses . I love your come back Let`s shoot you.Seems you need some ignorant learning. Go get some love in your life and put humans first not some bear that is dangerous to some small kid that may be playing in a back yard. What if that kid is yours?

  • @3xut

Apparently you didn't read my other comments.

And if that kid would be mine, it wouldn't live there in the "back yard" of a bear and getting ripped into pieces.

  • WTF ? "the bear hasn't learned his lesson of staying away from humans".

It's the humans who start living in the bears environment, not the other way around.

Think about it.. how stupid could they be.

  • @motorbreath1983 true maybe in the future humans might not be the dominant race

  • @04mittald Will probably only happen if we kill ourselves... which seems likely.

  • @Blitzingtakin yes but out there in space might be more advanced animals who knows

  • thats not a border collie, it's a bear dog

  • Just shoot the bear before it hurts a person. Teach it the ultimate lesson, kill it. You people teach your children like this too. No wonder they have kids do crimes like they do now. Why don`t you try a time out chair lol.

  • @3xut

Let's shoot you instead for beeing ignorant (read my other comments).

  • i have a border collie as well lol he wouldnt stand a chance against any bear but he can run fast as fuck, especially when theres a cat

  • the dog in the video is a karelian Bear dog IF im not misstaken

  • Dude, a dog wouldn't stand a chance in hell against a bear. Not even a Kangal. But the bear probably wouldn't be able to kill that dog because it's so fast, so it would just give up and go away. The dog is an annoyance, really, and a sign that there are humans coming, so the bear knows it's time to leave.

  • check out a breed of dog called a komondor ! you might change your mind? the coat is like armor i'm not saying it will fight a grizzly but maybe a small bear thier used in hungary as flock guard !

  • i've seen dogs with their eyes popped puit of their heads from big black bears swatting them in the back of the head. they were bred to chase, track and bay/tree the bear but sometimes they get too close and bears are just as fast ...not as aggole as the one in the vid but against a pack of hounds, its not uncommon to lose a dog in a hunt

  • I think the dog would've won. Bears are strong, but they're not as fast, and generally not too agressive. And besides, I'm pretty sure they bred the dog for this kind of stuff.

  • Hey, I think i'll build a shitty little "town" in the middle of the woods and get pissed when an animal that lives in the woods goes walking by. Man am I smart.

  • @dirtydodger

Even this commenter said "right in the heart of town" and "the bear hasn't learned his lesson of staying away from humans".

Those idiots just don't get it do they ?

  • 10 buildings in the middle of a vast wild area is certainly not "right in the heart of town". And no, those idiots don't get it.

  • jesus, ive been backreading the comments and i have to come to one of two conclusions about alot of these posters:

    1. alot of you are ignorant about nonlethal predator control measures used by park personnel/city councils.

    2. your just fucking retards.

  • A word of advice - never, ever read youtube comments. One day you'll get an aneurysm from the sheer anger it causes.

  • @bremenlegation You're***. Dipshit.

  • @mistamontiel i had no idea you were a licensed grammar cop.

  • @agricola huhuh.

  • Comment removed

  • @bremenlegation Bremenlegation, I totally agree with you conclusion. These posters are just a bunch of idiots.

  • ..and APBTs are the idiots of the dog world. they are too stupid to be trained for this sort of thing.

  • karelian bear dogs are bred for this sort of thing, they are way too quick for the bear to catch. they just circle the bear and nip at it till the bear gets frustrated and leaves the area. or trees itself..

  • yeah, that bear was sure tearin into him alright...

  • Man's best friend.

  • Couldn't the bear just ignore the dog? I mean, it's way bigger and stronger...

  • If the bear is normal, he only attacks when protecting pray, cubs or self. Bear probably didnt see dog a threat but thought it would be better to get away now.

  • Dogs rock.

  • rroster going to get his azz wip

  • doubt it...dunno what kind of dog it is, but its probably a bear dog and they are built and have the temperment just for this.

  • "get him rooster! go get him rooster!" lol chase the bear into a time out corner cuz he didn't learn his lesson

  • weak sauce beer...a dayum wild grizzly would shred your dog lmao

  • yh probz a black bear and black bear r full of shit

  • When was the last time you beat up an adult black bear? LOL

  • Do a 10sec Google search next time before posting. KBDs handle problem (i.e. aggressive) grizzlies every day. They're fast, smart, loud, and utterly fearless animals--probably better at handling apex predators than any other dog on the face of the planet.

  • its no border collie tho :P

  • Nice to see a Carelian Bear Dog in action. One can't help wondering how the dog manages to put fear into a much bigger and more dangerous animal, but that's exactly what Carelian Bear Dogs are bred for.

  • why doesn't the bear just hit the dog?

  • init

  • It could easily kill that dog. It just doesn't know it. Fear of the unknown I guess.

  • It's not fast enough to catch the dog.

  • what kind of dog is that? i heard rhodeshian ridgeback is best against wild animals.

  • Yay Kbd´s sweet!

  • black bears are shy animals for the most part and most wild animals if heathy and not injured or hungry will run from something it isnt used to dealing with...but if the bear fought the dog it would find it easy prey and have to be killed because it would come back for more dogs

  • Karelian bear dogs confront grizzlies, kodiak, and brown bear all the time. It has nothing to do with shyness. A black bear will attack if it feels threatened, too.

  • lol that video stupid

  • Nice. Karelian bear dog is the breed--a fine working dog. When they team up, they can chase off any big predator. Finns and Karelians have been using them in bear hunting for a long, long time. They'll stand in between a predator and their master and die. Never give an inch. Just like the Finns. :)

  • APBT's have the best drive, called "game". An APBT will do the most, period.

  • my friend had a dobes, rots and kangals they can challenge tigers

  • karelian bear dog... and no dog can win a bear you idioT!!

  • TÜrkis Dog Kangal !!!

  • hmm...

the bigger bear species bear can defeat a dog. (except the pitbull species like 'american bulldog' and 'mastiff' cause they are trained for fighting.)

  • All bears > all dogs if a fight was to occur.

  • AntieTurk: I'm not gonna call you a idiot, you are Dutch and most you guys know nothing about wild nature. "Rooster" is a dog breeded for bear hunting. It's not supposed to attack the bear directly (they only will bite the bear's ass). A pittbull might try to attack that bear, and get himself killed instantly.

  • nicceeee

  • If it was up to the gay ass liberals they would welcome the bear into the pool and charge anyone it ate with animal cruelty.

  • PowerAxeKiller hit the nail on the head! Damn liberals! Great comment

  • As opposed to what? Big predators will always wander into your land in the country. It's nice to have a diligent dog there to just chase them off, especially if there are kids around. Then again, I guess a big tough guy like you would just step in and kick the bear's ass.

  • black bears are pretty timid, most of the black bears I've encountered would rather flee a dog then fight it.

  • Look at that friggen Bear go! It's aboreal for God's sake!

  • Waaaittt a minute?? I dont get what just happened ... Couldnt the bear take on the dog without hesitation... well i know some dogs are good 4 bear hunting ecs... but arent the dogs supposed 2 out number the bear 2 scare it?????

  • khal.. no one good "bear dog" is enough..a good karelian bear dog is one of the breeds

  • how did that bear hop up like that.

  • brave dog?awesome? for what? i'll told what a great dog is...that dog that rush the bear to protect the owner and fights him regarless of damage, check apbt, dogo argentino, kangall, presa, bully kutta, those are great dogs...and for the wild boar hunt..save it...this dog and what army?perhaps a side with dogos...

  • As already suggested, try looking up Karelian Bear Dog... It will take on a bear to protect its master and it is used to hunt wild boar aswell. How do you think this breed (Karelian Bear Dog) got its name?

Hint: Wikipedia has a fine article about this dog...

  • the bear was scared, probably lost in human teritory, being so near the humans he might have known that dogs don't come in single package, they come with humans ass well, probably a young one too

  • least he got to crash the pool, I'd call that a win for the bear

  • Stupid humans built their big mansions in the bear's territory then stupid humans complain. Bears have a right to their territory and to be left alone.

  • You fucking idiot! You live in a house that was built on

some animal's "territory"! Why don't you give it back to the ducks and squirrels!

  • this whole earth is an animal's territory. should we all just live in space?

    dumbshit.

  • Is it really smart to put a dog at risk like that?

  • Well police dogs get killed too.

  • BRAVE DOG!!!!!!!!

  • akita are just old japenese hunting dogs, nothing brave, regular hounds will chase a bear up a tree, thats why dogs are outlawed to hunt bears

  • these dogs are awesome

  • that bear got hops lmao

  • A bear cant catch a dog.

  • It's in your basic wildlife manual that you should not let dogs loose in bear country because the dog will chase the bear, the bear will get pissed off and start chasing the dog who will realize he doesn't stand a chance and will run right back to you with the bear in tow.You now have a pissed off bear to deal with.

  • Now there's a smart bear...

  • Cool. I live in AK, where can I get one of these dogs! I had a bear in the back yard last year and I live in the middle of Anchorage!

  • I don't think they should use dogs. One day a bears going to realize he could easily kill it and well, I think you get it.

  • LOL, Alright Rooster! Good dog.

  • a very good technik and tactic !

  • That wasn't a border collie, it was a Karelian bear dog. They're not very big, males only get up to 50lbs or so, but they're very aggressive and commonly used to chase off wildlife as seen here.

  • they've been known to kill wild boar

  • They've driven the bear away, again.

  • black bears arent as agressive, one of the only big bears that can climb trees too i believe. Grizzlies are far more aggressive and probably would have killed the dog.

  • black bears don't even count, what does that border collie weigh, 30 lbs? come on, you're a bear, you got like sharp talons

  • Theyre black bears and they dont do much. They arent like grizzlies who kill for no reason. But yeahh black bears are pussies.

  • Bears suck.

  • no they dont, they are very cool!

  • that is a baby bear, they are timid

  • You're a cock.

  • Hahaha how can a creature so bulky be so agile?

  • ive had my run ins, in B.C canada tackla, dome creek. "grizzly" though... scary shit.

  • i agree grizzlies are alot worse than blacks. the grizzly wouldnt run from a dog. he would swipe it once, and then not eat it.

  • lol james bond

  • In the wild, a bear can own a dog, but dogs are domesticated so that can never happen. The reason the bear ran is because it was in unfamiliar territory and the bear knew it was probably in the vicinity of human presence. It was totally out of his own familiar environment that's why something as small as that little dog was able to scare him/her away.

  • bears are instinctivly afraid of dogs since they are just domesticated wolves and wolves are a natural predator of bears

  • Hahahaha, then explain cats being able to scare a bear in to a tree? Wolves don't prey on bears. They might steal it's kill but even a pack of wolves can't takedown a bear.

  • that was smart

  • Grew up in northern Ontario where bears were very common. they can be unpredictable, but norm can be scarred off by simply yelling at them...my mom had to chase them out of the garbage on more than one occasion lol

  • lol @ americans

  • when dogs chase everything just run ..its a dogs gift from god !!

  • rooster or whateva the dog name is is very lucky that bear didnt turn around and slap the shyt out of him he wouldnt stand a chance

  • It's all about fearing man, and dogs are mans best friend.

  • I've seen a video of a Rottweiler chasing a giant bear.

  • I had a half Wolf/Chow chow that chases bigger dogs. A huge pure bread Rotty was one of them.

  • small bear.. but yeah.. bears always seem to run from dogs.. but most dogs are stupid, and will chase anything.

  • LOL! it's true they will chase anything lol

  • lol true
