  • looks like a projector onto glass to me, not a hologram

  • The screen quality is almost horrible. Just slightly below that to useless.

  • oh but the smears I would have if I had it.

Guest: Ohh~ *I want to poke it*

Me: STTOOOP! Don't touch it if you don't wanna clean it!

  • isnt this just glass a projector and a kinect hey i just realized how to make one of these

  • @herokid789 hahaha!!! Go for it!! I might do it too but without M$ tehnology :)

  • Технологии - это вещь...

  • how did i get here from dubstep?

  • it might not be a hologram but I like it!

  • nyce lcd :))

  • projection on plastic screen is not HOLOGRAM

  • Spain is a very oddly shaped country.

  • ha, you can go behind the screen flick off ho ever is watching, and they would think its a video or movie

  • this is not hologram. this is ur *&#@$^#%@*&%

  • so what happened to microsoft itable and all the others promised to be out by now?

  • If only they would stop adding music to these thing's they might actually be interesting.

  • @Bryanthampton if you would watch this when you'r high you wouldnt be bitching about it

  • this has nothing to do with holograph, but nice project,

  • I am the inventor of the hologram360, and you have a nice holo agent but you owe me money. Thats how you made my holo amazeing.

  • so in short, it's not a hologram, it's a holographic screen, two different things. My question is... why would you want to watch tv on a flat piece of transparent glass when you can do the same in higher quality on a real tv? The whole point of holograms is that it takes out the clunky hardware parts of a visual interface and frees the user to be mobile while viewing a weightless screen.

  • cool wish that was used in dayle basis on the train station wen you bought tickets

  • 0:13....

did he just switched on porn?

    0":55...

    no she is wearing bra

  • 0:13....

did he just switched on porn?

  • i love how the two top comments are versing eachother haha

  • It pretty obvious its using a projector to screen the image on the glass panel. see 0:58

  • well, two years now, and still no holographic screen, because, whats the interesting on watching a projector in some mirrors?, so, that sill not work, and thats because the image it's horrible and it has not any advantage, what the point? FAILLL.

  • This is not "HOLOGRAM"

  • @USFullOfLies It said Hologaraphic SCREEN.

  • @USFullOfLies no shit

  • firts 3d soo 4d so1000000000000000000000d

  • Well this is a good idea but this concept is much likely going to be used with OLED technology projector technology are slowly becoming a thing of the past

  • Wait. Is this Real? Just wondering?

  • holography: the next 3d...4D!!!!!

  • O-LED. The Future is here

  • whats da name of the SONG ??

  • Comment removed

  • This is stupid. The only reason I would ever get one of those is if I was rich and had nothing better to spend it on. Otherwise, the kinds of holograms that most people expect are the ones without the glass.

Screw you guys, I'm moving to Japan!

  • Notice how he's standing to the side to make sure he doesn't block the obvious

    PROJECTOR.

  • @MrBearRoars NO shit sherlock that's how holograms work they project the image on glass/mirrors >.>

  • What is the problem, the video is called HOLOGRAPHIC SCREEN anyone says it's a real hologram. people just like to discredit, I find very interesting as you look

  • a holographic sign does not have glass that you touch so the holographic image you seen is not true if it has glass which is does. gosh. watch the movie Wall-E. there are many holographic signs or projectery. and its not touch screen. you have to program it in the potral.

  • @whitmoremiddle and dude... I watched wall-e... and seriously, its called effects... your just wasting your life watching then believing it 100%....

  • a holographic sign does not have glass that you touch so the holographic image you seen is not true if it has glass which is does.

  • to people who thinks holographic means 3d stuff, you are thinking the wrong way. holographs dont fly in the air!!! they are projected onto a sheet, film, glass, etc!!!

  • @revenger129 holographic signs do fly in the air! der! der! der!

  • @whitmoremiddle here's your definition from the dictionary Mr. know-it-all.

    hologram [ˈhɒləˌgræm] (n)

(Physics / General Physics) a photographic record produced by illuminating the object with coherent light (as from a laser) and, without using lenses, exposing a film to light reflected from this object and to a direct beam of coherent light. When interference patterns on the film are illuminated by the coherent light a three-dimensional image is produced.

"exposing a film" in this case, glass

  • Send me the song

  • OLED Technology? Real HOLOGRAPHIC dont using a window... Holograms fly in the air!

  • But the Question is Will it blend

  • @Monsinghcharles I bet it will. :)

  • On se croirais dans le future !

    wow !!! incroyable !

  • It's fucking glass bro, you can so tell.

  • think of two beams of light hiting each other to make twice the brightness to make a flouting imeges

  • they should send this to the moon !

  • is not holograma

  • Cool green screen, bro.

  • @TheSeanMcLean It's not a green screen, it's a real image, it's just on glass and therefore not holographic.

  • totally pointless !!!

  • tudo que esistia em filmes de fixção cietifica virou realidade nos utimos anos!

  • Con la cara de nardo del flaco te aseguro que no vas a vender nada...

  • shame that the audio ruins the clip.. horrible music

  • @klsta especially when you have a hangover and are just lying in bed browsing the youtube -.-

  • what song is this o_O

  • 30 years form today, Holographic 3d computer and holographic 3d games, and if will have kids then, they will be playing with the holographic icons and the holographic Sonic and Mario. ;)

  • Shitty music is shitty.

  • Its really nice tho, like a window with tv capabilities....

  • Keep it up. I want one for my room.

  • They have real holograms.

  • This can actually be pretty easy to do, all you need is a wii remote, projector, and a computer and the program called smooth board, project the image from your computer onto a piece of glass and there ya go.

  • even if ppl arent impressed i still think it is awesome as a touchscreen too

  • May i be the first to point out... it says Holographic Screen

  • This is the closes they can get to hologram.

  • its not a holograph if its on a glass SCREEN!! duuurrhhh!! people this is a phony vid!

  • too bad it still uses a projector.

  • its more fiber apitic then hologram

  • @littlemexicantheif Fiber optics is, at its most basic, when light shine into a very narrow cylinder. The light then emerges from the other end as a dot no matter if the cylinder was bent or not.

Get your info straight so you don't look like an idiot in the future.

  • Where can you find the software used in these demonstration videos. I would like to use it.

  • I think it utilises the principle of holography. There may be only one or two small projectors at the edge of the screen and the rest is a reflective mesh.

  • Future! horrible camera

  • Actually seems to be just a touch-screen display.

And your description says holograms are already possible, like it's new technology. Well, I'm sure you are aware, the hologram was invented in 1947 (Ithink), so it hardly new and hardly something to get excited about unless it can be applied in exciting ways. This is about as exciting as wondering what to put on your toast.

Youtube users see a lot of over hyped nonsense. We get fed up with it. Try to stand out next time rather than fall down.

  • this is not.

  • What's the big deal.

It's a projector beaming images onto a piece of window or glass for that matter.

The word "hologram" is being ripped apart from it's original meaning.

  • @gunblade64 I think the world hologram isn't being riped from anywhere. This is a Holographic Screen, it means it's a screen which rends a holographic optical illusion such a 3D Screen which rends a 3D optical illusion because what you really see is not a 3 dimensional object that you can touch but you can see. As the Holographic Screen show you te optical illusion of a hologram and not a real hologram because as his name indicate it is a Holographic SCREEN!!

  • @Globalzepp You're right... It's not a hologram. Therefore it shouldn't be called a ''Holographic Screen.'' & it is an 3D ILLUSION! Anything that is holographic IS 3D!! When i'm watching TV it looks 3D, but it isn't. Does that mean my TV is holographic? no it doesn't. All this is is a sheet of glass with the image being projected through it. It is cool though, but not an accurate description.

  • @Globalzepp put a touch screen in there and you won't notice much of a difference, there are cooler holograms out there...

  • @Globalzepp Yes, it appears that i wasn't awake enough to post around youtube that time.

  • @Globalzepp watch?v=FF1vFTQOWN4&feature=related 3D for yah

  • @Globalzepp The FUCK are you talking about?

  • @Globalzepp It's impossible to know whether it's 3D or just a glass 2D projection. No where does the uploader state the word 3D or mention no glasses are needed. I have to agree with gunblade64, this is probably not 3D/holographic, just possibly OLED or a projection in 2D, ie. non holographic.

  • @Globalzepp now you are ripping the 3d meaning. Any picture is 3d? Because if any picture is as 3d, this is holographic. 3D means something, and its different of stereoscopic sense of depth, and different from a 2d image on a tv display of a 3d object, nor Toy Story nor the new films are in 3D. And this. It is not holographic. its pseudo-holographic. Please go read some wittgenstein and a thesarus. This isnt holographic.

  • @Globalzepp This is not holographic at all. It's a 2D screen that you can see through. Weak.

  • Comment removed

  • @Globalzepp

No, he is touching glass, so it's a touch screen basically, not a hologram, a hologram is something projected into thin air, not onto a surface

  • Comment removed

  • @Globalzepp Saying the screen creates an illusion of a hologram makes little sense. The hologram itself is an illusion. No one can tell an illusion from an illusion of an illusion, and so why would anyone create an illusion of the hologram when the hologram alone creates the desired effect? :)

And that's not more of a hologram (or an illusion of one..) than what a regular projector can do on a (transparent) projection screen.

  • @gunblade64 That's why it's called a "Holographic Projector"?

  • @gunblade64 i think what you'r saying is that the word hologram is becoming more of a sci-fi fantasy and more unreachable with the power of our imaginations

  • @gunblade64 If it were a projector projecting the image onto the glass then explain how he places his hand to touch the glass, the image is not projecting onto his hand?

  • @DSM4LIFE20g If you look more closely, you can see that the guy is waving his hand only outside of the hotspot of the projector's lightbeam.

Besides, the light is reflecting of off his hand on the other side which you don't see from the camera's standpoint. You know? Logic... think about it :P

  • @gunblade64 Who cares, it still looks cool

  • @elel70 I wished that was my answer as well.

  • This isn't holographic... a hologram is a 3D image being projected into space.. which, at the moment isn't possible.

  • This is a Holographic Screen, it means it's a screen which rends a holographic optical illusion such a 3D Screen which rends a 3D optical illusion because what you really see is not a 3 dimensional object that you can touch but you can see. As the Holographic Screen show you te optical illusion of a hologram and not a real hologram because as his name indicate it is a Holographic SCREEN!!

  • That is not holographic. That is just a projection. Holographic technology is yet to be invented.

  • This is a Holographic Screen, it means it's a screen which rends a holographic optical illusion such a 3D Screen which rends a 3D optical illusion because what you really see is not a 3 dimensional object that you can touch but you can see. As the Holographic Screen show you the optical illusion of a hologram and not a real hologram because as his name indicate it is a Holographic SCREEN!!

  • semi-transparent touch-screen (2D) - Not a hologram (3D)?

  • all those damn lights on in the room make it kinda hard to see this thing working. why is it so bright in the room?

  • Cool

  • I'm still waiting for these people to demonstrate the "Holographic" aspect of these products. I haven't seen anything 3D, or anything more than rotating 2D images, or floating 2D images of 3D objects which are rotating. When do we get to see the object from different angles as the camera moves around it showing off the Holographic nature of these things...

  • song sounds like a remix of walking away by the egg

  • @hesitation24 Roy Gates-midnight sun

  • Comment removed

  • SONG = Roy Gates - Midnight Sun

  • It does look amazing, but It'll be years before they are able to convince people they really need this.

  • yeah it might not hit the mass markets immediately, but there is always some tech geeks that will need to have it, me possibly being one of them, and once they catch on a little bit and the price drops I really see this type of stuff catching on and just booming. Just like hand held touch screens

  • @darkspell117 It looks like it will have a different use than replacing a conventional screen! who would want to watch Lost on a screen where you are constantly being distracted by the wall behind! like in a bathroom mirror or a kitchen surface! where-ever this turns up it won't be the main TV screen! it would be especially good as a capacitive touch screen! or an intercom screen on a glass front door.

  • @katakisLives Bear in mind that the mainly use fore this technology is in an advertising way

  • @katakisLives LOST is awsome yes?

  • @Tagard1995 Yes it is! it was worth switching from Virgin media cable to Sky to carry on watching all by itself.

  • @katakisLives you're wrong, it is a reality, hundreds of advertising and event companies are already enjoying work with this holographic technology like an advertising support, they know well how a impressive and brand new mean of communication like this one make their campaigns successful

  • @Globalzepp Companies and advertisers are always looking for the next gimmick to make their product stand out from the crowd! it sounds like they are using it as a glorified power point presentation! I was more refering to the domestic market, I can't imagine seeing this in Curries or Best buy any time soon! would you have one in your living room! have a PlayStation 4 plugged into it or the next Xbox! having it at a few expo's does'nt make it a commmercial product.

  • @Globalzepp I would love to see this technology take off, I have been fascinated by holograms ever since I saw a ghostly glowing green holographic apple years ago! it took a whole room of machinery just to produce this tiny image!

  • @Globalzepp This isn't holographic... a hologram is a 3D image being projected into space.. which, at the moment isn't possible. This however is a piece of 2D glass with the image being projected into it. with touch screen technology.

  • @Globalzepp I agree advertisers go for this, but to date 3D purchases are actually quite flat. more than 90% of people asked said they aren't interested in buying it. Also this is no good for normal TV viewing, fancy seeing your back wall behind the façade of the Avatar jungle :-)

  • @katakisLives I think you are seriously underestimating the public idiotic need for things of this nature. Boffins, we have a world to improve!!!!

  • wtf was that.
