I was always a 'Star Wars' fan. But I LOVED the new 'Star Trek' because it had a great story with more action than other versions. Of course, most Trekkies didn't like that movie cuz it changed too much (or whatever). Anyway, i do agree that Twilight is ruining sci-fi/fantasy (which most people lump together because they don't know any better). George Takei has a good point. :)

Technically Star Wars isn't science fiction either, it's science fantasy, (some even use the term space western) but then again since Abram's took over Star Trek any science (even psuedo-science) is gone there too, so it's perfectly logical to compare all three of these franchises.

I am both a Star Wars fan and a Star Trek fan, although I lean towards Star Trek more. I love all forms of science fiction from medieval magical quests to epic space adventures and everything in-between however, Twilight I the one thing that has disgusted me beyond belief. It is an insult to the scifi world not just in message but content.

I prefer start wars. Star Trek is decent though. The last movie was okay. Twilight is dull but worse than that it's painting a picture of an abusive relationship. From memory teenage girls often make things a lot more intense than they need to be and this just encourages them rather than giving them a realistic, healthy relationship to aspire to.

Im not a Twilight fan. I think they are brain washing the young girls of today to be wishy washy push overs like Bella. I like both Star Wars and Star trek but if i had to pick one over the other it would be Star Trek. This is because at the roots of Star trek is a deep message of acceptance of all races and cultures and was ground breaking television of its time. Star wars has a similar message about choosing to love and not hate. But dont find it as deep as the message in Star Trek.
