I saw the car at 32nd st NEX San Diego,CA. Dry Side. His brother in law said he shows it for people. I asked about the axle, he said it was Ford. My axle is 1960 Spicer 4-10. I think he's from North Carolina. 1976 Warsaw VA. Hale Wheel old school 4 ever, Fuel, Compression ,Fire & Exhaust. I hear the words, I have it to.

at one point in the 60s he had won 10 races in a ROW.. richard was a phenominal driver but in my honest opinion he wouldnt hav been as successful if it wasnt for chrysler.. my favorite driver of all time! go pettys!!

in all fairness david pearson even though he came on the scene a bit before my time ran half as many races and collected 105 wins. Now had he ranm all the races that petty did we would be talking about a different king. Admit it or not you know its true

I don't know if he would have passed the King..but it would have been close..remember a lot of David's wins came with the Wood Brothers... who were never good at long season runs... obviously the car quality would have gone down... so he probably wouldn't have won anymore races than he did with them full time..now in terms of championships... yeah your right Petty wouldn't have had 7..maybe 5-6...
