  • This is so spiritual...My Lord we bring our praises before you.. philillie

  • nice tribute.

  • U2's songs are timeless.

  • it's a song applied to all religions

  • @bobbytanks, Not really. Bono, The Edge, and Larry Mullen, Jr are Christians. Adam Clayton is the only one who isn't, unless he's changed over?

Bono includes references to God or Christ in some songs, such as "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "If God Would Send His Angels", and "Grace" among others.

  • beautifully made video! God bless you!

    always,

    amy

  • hey. good job. good use of images. I am impressed. You did a great job of interpreting the song, and on the technical side. Kudos.

  • the power of God is awesome....thank you U2 for a great song

  • EXCELLENT!

  • Beautiful work....

  • This video a fitting tribute to U2

  • Superb video. You mention it may be used to spread the news of Jesus? We have a non-denominational, nothing for sale, (Irish) Christian website. Uniquely, we neither seek nor accept donatioons, or charge fees but rely on God for all provisions. Have held Christian outreaches in USA and Europe. Ok to use this to reach the lost, the lonely and the sick?

  • @nowetireland Sure, that's fine with me. All the pictures are royalty free, but you may wish to take care with the audio soundtrack - It's copywrited byUMG

  • Listen all you so called christians. You are a part of a society that takes your money and kills people all around the world. this "tax" is used to abort babies kill people and enslave the remains. As Jesus said kick the dust from your heels and leave. Learn the difference between "legal" and "lawful" look up Dean Clifford and John Harris..Open your mnds and LEARN..

  • Outstanding!!! When I first heard this song I always felt it was about the Lord Saviour Jeses Christ!!!.

  • @yoshluv7 Bono, the Edge and Larry are to this day devout Christians and almost turned their backs on rock music in the bands formative years as they felt their religious convictions might possibly compromise and conflict with their religious beliefs.

  • @Kenmorfdublin Wow!! they always had some lyrics that were spiritual in their songs!!!

  • This is a tremendous video! Well done! I have always loved this song when they played for the FIFA World Cup but did not realize the lyrics of it. Very nice tie into the gospel! Praise God!!

  • PRAISE The LORD ALMIGHTY! Your video's use of the song is a beautiful testament to how good God really is. And how much he an his son Jesus really do love us. I hope that it continues to only do more good for the gospel of his Kingdom.

  • John Lennons said the beatles had become more popular than Jesus, so in response Jesus raised up a band that is more popular than The Beatles.

  • @geiroffenberg It is true that it was an offensive statement, and while I am a devout Christian, I don't think John Lennon meant it to offend people, as he explained himself, he meant that kids were paying more attention to the Beatles, a band, than to Jesus (which isn't hard to believe--at that time, millions of girls idolized them).

  • simply great! God made great and mighty things for He is great Himself...

  • Well put together video

  • MY TESTIMONIAL (student)

today was our 2nd examination day! when on our last suject we take.. suddenly our teacher play this song... so some of us conscience with wat we always done in asking our seatmate for the answer in the testpaper!

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Jesus came to become the KING OF KINGS.Why didnt it happen?I wish it did:(

  • @NHazel1 Jesus is King of Kings, but he came to earth to die a criminal's death, so that we could be forgiven by God. He said in John 18:36 “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”. Every King has a kingdom. Jesus' is the Kingdom of Heaven. Right now, it doesn't look like he's king of this world, but he will come back. Philippians 2:10 shows all kings will eventually bow to Jesus!

  • @tomhsharky I agree with you I hope He come back before I leave this place..........

  • @tomhsharky wanna do my religion homework

  • @tomhsharky

    the jews didn't arrest jesus

that is just the bible brainwashing you guys to hate them

  • @IronXXXMaiden1 Jesus was Jewish too, I agree that this statement has been misused in history to try and justify horrific crimes against Jews, but the bible isn't saying that. Jesus was killed by the people of this world because they couldn't bear to admit to him being God. Paul, who wrote most of the books in the New Testament, and explained why Jesus had to die so he could be raised to life again, was also Jewish!

  • @tomhsharky

its ok bro i knew that

    my name is paul

    i wrote that

  • @NHazel1 He is the King of Kings

  • Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

  • religion isn't real.

  • Then you would no you CANT copyright god or his music!

  • if i could dislike this everyday of my life, i would.

  • @Tarafriend33 thanks very much!

  • @Tarafriend33 And the music is brilliant to begin with

  • Great video and message, but why not use a better translation for the verses used in the video? What is used in the first few doesn't quite get the message right.

  • Hi, We spent quite a while thinking about which translations to use, and ended up using a mixture of The Message, NIV and NLT. How would you have phrased it?

  • @tomhsharky I think the translations/paraphrases were good and helped think about them in a new way. Thanks.

  • @tomhsharky I know I'm replying to a year-old comment, but I just discovered this video today. I wanted to say that I LOVED the scripture versions you used. They are beautifully and movingly written.

  • Fantastic video- just like the song and group!

  • Great video.. super start at 0,46 sec., and excellent finish... Thanks!!!
