  • interesting; glad I watched!

  • You should call the guys at American Pickers

  • 1:26 they use it to pump water???

  • @hayesisaac2010 They turned it into a welder

  • looks like the c10 had a hei distributor......motor change?

  • You should fix up that corvair I'd like to see it atleast temporarily pulled out and a walk around vid

  • Why were the cars parked in the first place?

  • @Feathergreencp The simca was rolled and the olds and the corvair were my uncles but he died in the early eighties so they just sat. I think the others were just too much work to keep on the road at the time so they got parked.

  • @bah53 When you mean rolled, you mean it rolled over? If so, how did the Simca roll?

  • @Feathergreencp Yeah rolled over. Im not sure on the corvair but my uncle rolled the simca going too fast around a corner on a dirt road.

  • Once i get a bit older and have my own house, i am going to get me a old car and restore a piece of history, i love olden times and i want part of it :)

  • i would love it if my granparents had a place like that, i bet you have some fond memories of that place as a child, that would be like finding treasure for me.

  • how come they didn't roll the oldsmobile?

  • What year is the durant, and what happened to the back half?

  • @RobNLynchburgVA I'm not sure exactly what year it is but one of the commenters below thinks its a 1928. I have no idea where the back half is, it was probably cut up over 60 years ago.

  • coño un simca 1000

  • that old car is a durant? or how ever you spell it. grampa has one

  • whats with rolling the cars over?. could it be from corn liquor made from the corn on the farm?.

  • sad that these are rotting in a barn

  • You should make a video of this corvair to a guy on youtube.

He is really a corvair fan.

    his name is CORVAIRWILD

  • let me guess what it is it is a another peace of]f history retards let rot in a barn

  • is that supposed to be a generator. kinda looks like it was made to be one.

  • My dad's family has a farm like this with great old stuff and they would never part with any of it either. It's just the way they are.

  • @nealart yea they just die broke and some one comes along and makes a small fortiun selling all the old shit

  • is it a dusinburg??? somthin like that??

  • its a dusenburg

  • like the old red car! might be an nsu very nice lil car i like the blue one is that an trator? the last car looks nice

  • some weird gravitational pull that makes cars flip over where you live?

  • 1:26 i am guessing it is a compressor of some sorts?

  • Wow, your grandparents got lots of old cars.

  • are they selling any of them? or willing to get rid of them?

  • @caraddict27 No there not for sale

  • The Chrysler Simka was AWESOME! I would restore it and put an aircooled Volkswagen engine into it.

  • r u going 2 try 2 start that olds

  • love the olds

  • Very nice cars. they look like they can be fixed up if someone wanted to. i really like the corvair.

  • me too

  • are your granparents still around, how is the farm still in the family?

  • yep, they still live there. 80yrs old and still plenty active.

  • Is it a Dusenburg motor, the one that you ask the audience to guess?

  • It would be nice if it was but its not. Its a Durant

  • i would love the bug :D

  • Why are such beutiful cars sitting in Barns and nobody cares about it.

    Its sad:-(

  • I bet you could get that corvair going and drive her right out of there. My van sat in a garage for 28 years and she runs and drives great.

  • maybe, i have no idea of the condition of the engine or if all the parts are even there

  • @bah53

Hi. Just FYI, your Oldsmobile is a 1948. The round emblem on the front of the hood was the give-away. I owned a 1946 Oldsmobile for many years. The '46 and '47s looked very similar to your car, but neither had the round emblem, but rather a slim vertical one.

  • are yall selling parts from the corvair ? i need 1963 seats

  • no, not selling any parts. not mine to sell anyway

  • we had an old vw beetle sat at the back of our cow shed it had been there for 10 + years when we pulled it out to scrap it the engine still turned over and it didn't fall apart when we lifted it with the tractor

  • can i have those cars?

  • dodge motor

  • yeah... nice barn find!

  • Any plans for the oldsmobile? It would awesome to see it run.

  • My cousin wants to restore it, but since we worked for the same company and are both laid off now i dont see it happening anytime soon lol

  • does the vw beetle run?

  • i don't know, it hasn't been started since the 80's

  • you should make a video of it and see if you can get it going

  • It's a Durant, looks like a Model 75

  • Well sorry it could be any 1928 model

  • well done, i didn't think anyone would figure it out. I didnt even know what year or model it was

  • Thanks, a friend had one go thru his body shop a few years ago, I've been looking for a complete one ever since...

That Simca, looks like it might be a 1000 series, in the 80's it was redesigned for chrysler and called the dodge omni and plymouth horizon, its a rare car if it is...

  • im not sure what the one in the barn is, all i know is that the front emblem says chrystler simca. There is another one in the field that is a 1969 1118, its mostly there but completely trashed

  • OmGod, I love barn finds! In countryside of Greece, my father has a friend who is got about 15 old cars(european ones) forgotten in there. one of these days I might go there filming them. There's even a Lamborghini.

Bah53, do please make videos of those cars. They look promising!

    XD Thanks for sharing, dude.

  • can u atart them u know old start cold start

  • yeah, im gonna start with the chevy c10 because its easy to get to and its outside where the light is

  • i want that old oldsmobile he ever consider selling it?

  • no, he dosen't really like to get rid of things, as you may have guessed after seeing that one barn. hes probably got a dozen barns on his property and many of them are crammed with even more stuff than this one

  • is it a welder?

  • BINGO! we have a winner. now can anyone guess what make of car it is? (hint: they dont make it anymore)

  • only car i can think that thing was is a duesenburg looks like a duesenburg grille however you spell their name

  • it would be nice if it was a duesenberg, but its not

  • aww shucks but that grille looks familiar hmm

  • is that thing a desoto converted to a welder?

  • nope, not a desoto, you probably have never heard the name of it, it isnt very common

  • Is it a generator/compressor. That sort of looks like a model T engine but not sure. I have seen engine cylinders used for compressors somewhere before.

  • its not a compressor and not a model T, but it was a car made sometime in the 20's

  • any of em run eh

  • the only one ive ever heard run in my lifetime was the chevy truck

  • that corvair is in really good shape for being rolled over. corvairs are very safe cars and its amazing that it was hardly smashed. GOOD VIDEO!

I think that the thing is a generator.

  • You're partly right, there is a generator on it but theres a little more to it

  • Wow! You have to try to start at least one of these beasts someday!

    1:20 - A Dodge army truck?

  • yeah im thinking about trying to start that chevy truck, i heard it run about 10-12yrs ago, and i heard it from inside my house over a quarter mile away lol. Its not a dodge or a truck, good guess tho. Heres a clue, it used to be a car and it has been modified into something completely different

  • Well, i'm outta ideas on what make/model it could be. I'm thinking it looks like it was modified into a piece of farm equipment?

I'll have to check here once in a while to see if anyone else can get it. lol
