I have a 4x4 the same year and all i want is the ac stuff and the motor the body is way to cancerous to repair might could salvage the bed let me know k 300??
@Feathergreencp The simca was rolled and the olds and the corvair were my uncles but he died in the early eighties so they just sat. I think the others were just too much work to keep on the road at the time so they got parked.
Once i get a bit older and have my own house, i am going to get me a old car and restore a piece of history, i love olden times and i want part of it :)
i would love it if my granparents had a place like that, i bet you have some fond memories of that place as a child, that would be like finding treasure for me.
@RobNLynchburgVA I'm not sure exactly what year it is but one of the commenters below thinks its a 1928. I have no idea where the back half is, it was probably cut up over 60 years ago.
Hi. Just FYI, your Oldsmobile is a 1948. The round emblem on the front of the hood was the give-away. I owned a 1946 Oldsmobile for many years. The '46 and '47s looked very similar to your car, but neither had the round emblem, but rather a slim vertical one.
we had an old vw beetle sat at the back of our cow shed it had been there for 10 + years when we pulled it out to scrap it the engine still turned over and it didn't fall apart when we lifted it with the tractor
Thanks, a friend had one go thru his body shop a few years ago, I've been looking for a complete one ever since...
That Simca, looks like it might be a 1000 series, in the 80's it was redesigned for chrysler and called the dodge omni and plymouth horizon, its a rare car if it is...
im not sure what the one in the barn is, all i know is that the front emblem says chrystler simca. There is another one in the field that is a 1969 1118, its mostly there but completely trashed
OmGod, I love barn finds! In countryside of Greece, my father has a friend who is got about 15 old cars(european ones) forgotten in there. one of these days I might go there filming them. There's even a Lamborghini.
Bah53, do please make videos of those cars. They look promising!
no, he dosen't really like to get rid of things, as you may have guessed after seeing that one barn. hes probably got a dozen barns on his property and many of them are crammed with even more stuff than this one
Is it a generator/compressor. That sort of looks like a model T engine but not sure. I have seen engine cylinders used for compressors somewhere before.
yeah im thinking about trying to start that chevy truck, i heard it run about 10-12yrs ago, and i heard it from inside my house over a quarter mile away lol. Its not a dodge or a truck, good guess tho. Heres a clue, it used to be a car and it has been modified into something completely different
that could be genartor or a watwe pump

Feathergreencp 1 year ago
@Feathergreencp Yeah rolled over. Im not sure on the corvair but my uncle rolled the simca going too fast around a corner on a dirt road.
