@boogeyman1967 That is exactly what I wondered forever but learned that Hubble can only see 60 meter objects or bigger at the distance of the moon (384k) They largest landing left over objects are just too small at 9 meters (the biggest). Perspective is important in thinking of it as galaxies are so far away but also 100,000 light years across in size and quite bright.

@julesgemini apollo cameras and video recorders were indeed color ones! the reason we don't see the moon surface brownish or reddish like that of the earth is largely due absence of any ferrus/nitrus/fosfate minerals. the regolith is purely silica just like the silica over the new mexico desert. why don't yo see any color over a large surface part on the white sands?

The US had five unmanned Surveyor landings and six manned Apollo missions. The USSR achieved sample returns of lunar soil via the unmanned Luna 16, Luna 20 and Luna 24 Moon landings.
Luna 16 brought back 0.1 kg, Luna 20 brought back 0.05 kg and Luna 24 brought back 0.17 kg. Have you got any clue what it takes fro an unmanned probe to achieve that?

@thecubanism Well, there was never a 7 second delay, but about 2.6 seconds delay. (Radio waves uses at light speed about 1.3 seconds one way to the moon). Since this was all analog, there was no extra delay from encoding/decoding as you can have using digital transmissions.
I can't wait untill we start having commercial flights to the moon so then we can point out the apollo landing sites and once and for all prove how stupid they are.

I think man did walk on the moon but the "televised" footage of the landings was probably staged just to give the public what they wanted to see and to stick two fingers up to the Russians! We haven't gone back because there is nothing there of any value.

@MrOutofthis Except that this is beyond the capabilities of ANY Earth based telescope. Nothing on Earth has the resolution to view the descent stages. Even the Hubble can't do it. IIRC, to have a telescope that could resolve the descent stages at even 1 pixel would require a mirror 100+m in diameter.

@MrOutofthis Actually, science explains it quite well. Keep in mind that not all types of radiation require X feet of lead to block. Also remember that the Apollo craft never went through the heaviest parts of the VAB's, but skimmed the thinnest areas. Yes, EXTENDED exposure to the radiation in the belts can be very harmful, but not the brief amounts of time they were there.

@xxGhostXIIIxx Proving the landings were real was not LROC's primary (or secondary, or tertiary, or...) mission. The fact that it's job was to photograph the surface of the moon means that picturing the artifacts left behind was inevitable.
Why do people get so aggressive over these things? I bet that most of the people who post here have looked at both sides of the argument and then have, for reasons their own, come to one conclusion or another. Yes, the government has an incredibly bad track record (it is still majorly fucking us over now as we speak) but the odds against them pulling something like this off are astronomical (no pun). It would mean a global conspiracy involving all major governments (including Russia) lying.
It's ironic how people say that these photos are fake because they are too grainy, whereas in the original moon landing they argued that it was staged because the photos were too clear.
And if I think about it, since I believe that manking had been to the moon once, there simply would be little point to go back at this point - the composition of the moon ir largely known by now and without the technology for a proper terrestrial space station there is no point in going back.

Of coarse the hoaxies will say these images are fake but there will, in time, be other orbiters sent by Russia and China and will take photos.
The images shown here would have been received by Russian and Chinese stations as well so any faking would be pretty much impossible.

The US had five unmanned Surveyor landings and six manned Apollo missions. The USSR achieved sample returns of lunar soil via the unmanned Luna 16, Luna 20 and Luna 24 Moon landings.
Luna 16 brought back 0.1 kg, Luna 20 brought back 0.05 kg and Luna 24 brought back 0.17 kg. Have you got any clue what it takes fro an unmanned probe to achieve that?

This proves nothing, all could have been achieved by unmanned vehicles, the core samples could be from anywhere and as for the rock, well, ask the Dutch, what I wan't to see is them unloading the lunar rover, assembling it, fitting the gadgets etc., also can I see film of them boarding the LEM prior to lift off and would the genius who operated the 7 second time delay camera from earth please reveal himself. @thecubanism Well, there was never a 7 second delay, but about 2.6 seconds delay. (Radio waves uses at light speed about 1.3 seconds one way to the moon). Since this was all analog, there was no extra delay from encoding/decoding as you can have using digital transmissions.

The Van Allen Belts do indeed contain enough radiation to kill a man, if he stayed there long enough. While passing through, Apollo was exposed to an average radiation dose of 0.167 mSv per second. Thirty straight days of that dose would have killed the astronauts. But Apollo passed through the VABs in less than an hour and a half.

Videos and pictures taken, real time tracking telemetry from Earth, sixty scientific experiments left on the surface of the Moon and the data received from them, the 840 pounds of rocks and 6 foot long intact core tube samples brought back, satellites launched from the SIM bays into lunar orbit, reflectors left at the landing sites, etc. etc.

The pictures do not prove or disprove the conspiracy. The tracks may be footprints or they could have been made by robotic vehicles, the resolution still isn't clear enough to show a footprint. I think man did walk on the moon but the "televised" footage of the landings was probably staged just to give the public what they wanted to see and to stick two fingers up to the Russians! It was probably too risky to televise live footage because anything could have gone wrong and maybe the technology didn't exist to be able to transmit clear live footage back to earth anyway. We haven't gone back because there is nothing there of any value.

Wait a minute. The conspiracy theorist say they faked the Moon landing videos etc ? Well the capabilities of faking videos has only gotten better with age. Meh, I say NASA is faking these videos and pics as well. Pretty stupid of NASA to try and prove old videos and pics with new video and pics ! IJS

Moon to have no-fly zones by month end
No-fly zones will come into effect on the moon for the very first time by the end of this month! Why, even buffer zones that spacecraft may have to avoid will come into existence. @j0j0kh Because there was concern that if the capsules had crashed into the lunar surface killing the good men who risked their lives (which was a valid concern considering how complicated these missions were) then it would not of been appropriate to broadcast live. Lunar walks were broadcast live across the world. Your arguments make NO sense what so ever. You are either an extremely closed minded person or you are simply too stupid too understand the science behind these. Complete idiot.

and i have just one question, when they show the "astronaut footprints" why are they a continuous line ? as far as the videos from "the lunar landing" the astronauts were shown jumping to get from point A to point B, the lines should be at least a bit interrupted not continuous all the way

@philthy122 For years, people who believe the landings were faked have said they would believe it if pictures were taken of the artifacts left behind. I doubt anyone is truly surprised that, now that we have pictures, the CT'ers are crying "PHOTOSHOP!"

@MrOutofthis Except that this is beyond the capabilities of ANY Earth based telescope. Nothing on Earth has the resolution to view the descent stages. Even the Hubble can't do it. IIRC, to have a telescope that could resolve the descent stages at even 1 pixel would require a mirror 100+m in diameter.

However, if you can figure out a way to build a telescope 10x larger than the 10.4m Gran Telescopio Canarias (the largest optical telescope in the world), believe me, you'll be set for life.

@MrOutofthis Actually, science explains it quite well. Keep in mind that not all types of radiation require X feet of lead to block. Also remember that the Apollo craft never went through the heaviest parts of the VAB's, but skimmed the thinnest areas. Yes, EXTENDED exposure to the radiation in the belts can be very harmful, but not the brief amounts of time they were there.

@xxGhostXIIIxx Proving the landings were real was not LROC's primary (or secondary, or tertiary, or...) mission. The fact that it's job was to photograph the surface of the moon means that picturing the artifacts left behind was inevitable.

Why do people get so aggressive over these things? I bet that most of the people who post here have looked at both sides of the argument and then have, for reasons their own, come to one conclusion or another. Yes, the government has an incredibly bad track record (it is still majorly fucking us over now as we speak) but the odds against them pulling something like this off are astronomical (no pun). It would mean a global conspiracy involving all major governments (including Russia) lying.

It's ironic how people say that these photos are fake because they are too grainy, whereas in the original moon landing they argued that it was staged because the photos were too clear.
And if I think about it, since I believe that manking had been to the moon once, there simply would be little point to go back at this point - the composition of the moon ir largely known by now and without the technology for a proper terrestrial space station there is no point in going back.

I just came here to defend neither of the theories but to say that Not everything that's shown on media is true. They can make movies, do photoshop and put this into your head that you were right or wrong. Never fully trust the media. Trust your mind and your eyes. Same naive people who are fed by media will come here and say "Hey see that was not a conspiracy." Nobody asks: Why did it take more than 5 decades to take these clear pictures?Manned or unmanned shuttle have been into moon many times
