Thanks and I must be honest I've owned Ludwig, Premier, Hayman, Rogers, Pearl and probably some I've forgotten but the Sonolite Birch has to be the easiest to record of all of them, the snare is a Black Panther black brass shell with 24 karat gold hoops but all credit to Ben one of my best ever students he plays for the kit and has a great sense of tonality blended with technique.
hey if this wasnt a video i woulda thought it was a pro playing. You're students are AWESOME! one thing tho, the way u hold your sticks its kinda flimsy. but i guess thats just me it doesnt seem to affect your playing. but when u start focusing on tones on the toms or maybe cymbals it might come in handy to hold the stick higher a bit. But amazing, i dont see many other adults playing this kind of hard music
Great! Nicely mic'd and I really appreacite the camera being on a steady tripod. Far too many videos on YouTube have shaky camera work, whether they lack control or are just trying to add hipness, who knows... Your playing is hip enough, no goofy camera shooting required. Keep playing, you've got the touch!
Thanks, if you're interested the vids are put together in 2 parts. The video and then the sound but the result is worth the post syncing up proccess.
Ben is one of the best students Ive ever taught and it makes it all very worthwhile when people like yourself take the time to make encouraging comments.
You are stylin' and profilin' young man! Very smooth and excellent job. I didn't think anyone as young as you could be this good. I can only imagine the countless hours of practice this must have taken. I'm selling my drum kit today, lol.
SHARING This is awesome!

i COMPLETELY agree with unicursalhex, these drums sounds absolutly amazing. I mean your snare sounds even better than portnoy's O.o.
