(actually grunge is ok but not so good) and those genres destroyed thrash metal (for a while) and metal in general weakened a lot and experienced more finger pointing and all that shit. thrash metal was at it's best in the 80s and many other great genres were forming up! and metal heads were closer to each other. im not saying your wrong but this is my opinion :P
