@newecreator The problem here is how much standarization is good just to make work posible with an agreement but not to tight to suffocate creativity. I was a convinced user of Assholesoft until I discover my first Linux (Turbolinux workstation) my computer changes so much that I can't believe it and since that day I'm a Linux happy user.

Not everything is perfect, but every single day I discover something new and exciting. With Mocosoft I have to use non legal software that almost not work.

Hi, im an old OO user, but I really believe that google docs way is the future. It is going to improve so much the idea of an aplication that other soft will be useless because the future is the net and ubiquity. Ubuntu now has ubuntu cloud and other many great features.

Google is the real way to bring us the future and microsoft can´t do nothing at all.

anubis9109: I watch these vids because I get many useful information, tips and hints about google apps and OpenOffice here :) Seriously, I just watched Excel vs OO.Calc vid where MS guy showed me some interesting OO features I didn't know about before. I think this channel is great, but the other way than MS suppose :o))

@anubis9109 We dont hate Mocosoft just for existing, no, We jus see that there are many ways of thinking and everything that leads to a unique vision or way of things to be, is anti natural and useless.

Just take the time, and go to somewhere (park or mall, etc) And see the people, just realize how different they are, just as their ideas. ¿Why we have to stick to one way of thinking?

Open systems survive and evolve thats the way nature does.

You've missed just two points in your presentation:

1. Microsoft office costs few hundred USD, and Google Docs is free.

2. People that use Linux can't use Excel... and who whould ever consider installing Silverlight?

@walkingice0204 It was hard for them (the Microsoft fellows) to follow W3C standards. They only tried to make an interoperable browser when found out that they're loosing most of the users for Firefox, Opera and Chrome. Now they're afraid of Google clouding system and think they're doing a good service bashing a browser application (without the HTML5 and CSS3 features) comparing it with a desktop application. Embrace, Extend and Exterminate doesn't work for the Web.
