  • Rule #1: Use the power source that makes the most sense for the location. In remote areas, that means wind-solar-or both (hybrid) plus batteries for storage.

    Rule #2: Don't use batteries that can leak - meaning, use 'sealed' batteries for zero maintenance.

    Rule #3: Electric power improves the quality of life for everyone, even if it's intermittent - better than none at all.

  • 80% of villages are without electricity??wow wonder what kind of GROSS NATIONAL HAPPINESS is this??the book where she talks about her renovated home in village is 'treasure of the thunder dragon A PORTRAIT OF BHUTAN'chapter4..because of this i got hokked on to bhutan..its seems so different from what she has written..??

  • isnt this phobjikha valley bhutan QUEENS home town??.no electricity??i read it in queen ashi dorji wangmo wangchucks 2nd book were she said her phobjikha house was electrified,marble staircase,refigerator and her father had a mobile charged in their room etc..what about the public??not even a proper house??they look so dirty and ill and no one is bothered about them..

  • doesnt bhutan have hydro electirc power projects??heard about chukha hydro project?whats happinin?its shockin 80% of villages are witout electricty.sad to know that.what is this govt doing?concentratin too much on rich people??bhutan claims to be signing projects with indian govt regardin power sector were bhutan would provide electricty to india and bhutan would get money.first conentrate on ur own country.provide them power?
